If one of my strikers score two goals I alway take him off the pitch just to prevent a hat-trick. The reason is I have found that if one of my players score 3 goals in a game they wont score for several games afterwards, but I don't see the same problem after a game with two goals. It might just be my imagination but sofar my players keep even scoring but if I by misstake leave one in for the third goal there will be atleast 4-5 games before they score again.
I have a slight idea where your coming from as i've kind of noticed something similar although I don't see it as anything major.
It's not often in real life that a player will keep scoring in matches after they have scored a hat-trick in one. I think it's just a lucky day for the sriker.
Well I know it is just a lucky day that he manages to score 3 goals in a game. The thing is though if he is a consistent scorer, like scoring around .75 goals a game and then scores a hat-trick and just stops scoring for several games which is just not like the player. If it had happened once or twice I wouldn't had taken noticed but it seemed to happen too often before I started replacing players that had scored two goals.
Could be a matter of proffesionalism (or lack of). I can't begin to count the number of players who will, following a very successful game, start slacking off.

Well I haven't found this happening to me. Currently manaqing England and Michael Owen scores at least 1 goal a game for me and has had several hat-tricks which have helped me win Euro 2008,The confederations cup & top the table in the World cup qualifiers.
