in almost every game of the season my wingers have a one on one chance at goal after cutting but stupidly decide every fricking time to cross the ball and waste an opportuinty when they could have either shot and scored or forced a save in the hope someon else gets a open goal.

i think this has to be a problem there can be no other explanation for this stupidity.

often. (this may be the problem im guessing)

hmm you may be right might have to tone that down but even so as a player he shud be able to recognise that it is a perfect one on one chance and he shud take the priveledge to shot and not think "my manager said always cross the ball so i'll cross it yards backwards"

I agree it is a bit stupid but do your wingers 'look for pass instead of shoot' in their special moves? Or is cross ball set to 'Always'?

thats the ti checked the preferred moves and they dont have that as one so its just the cross ball set to always but that shudnt stop my player from recognising a good chance for himself.

Try increasing their men and creative freedom. That may help.

Maybe they ARE shooting... badly.

But seriously speaking, it's pretty strange, most people have the problem of players shooting too often and NOT trying to cross/square/cut back.
