Wet weather every week, players not doing what they are asked, tactics not working, it couldn't get any worse!!!
Er yep, game freezes during a match so I reboot. Reload the save game then it freezes during the results. I keep getting a message along the lines of "can't read corrupt file app data/Sports Interactive,, blah, blah, blah, run chkdsk"
Run it, does absolutely nothing to help..
So I have uninstalled and will reinstall.
Two questions.
Any idea why that happened and is it recoverable without having to uninstall next time?
My previous game had the two Beta Patches then 8.01 installed. I assume it's just worth installing 8.01 straight away?
Maybe try running a virus and spyware scan. You can also try disabling some of the stuff running in the background. You can disable quite a lot of this stuff without problems. Defragging your hard drive might also help.
Are you running other programs at the same time as FM maybe something is causing a conflict. When and if you reinstall just install the full patch.
Do as your error message suggest and run chkdsk. After reading your original message agian it sound to me as if something on your hard drive is corrupt possibly your save game. Unless you have a backup the only option is to start again.
Having to reinstall, please advise.
