One thing i do agree with is the age 3+ point.

Please show me a 3year old who can play this game?

Maybe the issues and problems that don't bother you do bother other people?

I'm doing fine with my team (currently 7th in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim) but my striker who has scored 80 goals in 101 matches can't score a one on one to save himself. My keeper never concedes one either, but still, it's quite annoying to watch a match with such an obvious problem.

They are probably required by law to print age ratings on the box.

I am playing with Sutton Utd. I am second to an unbeaten Dorchester in BS South.

Never used anyone else's tactics, and mine are based heavily on my FM 2007 versions.

I do have some sympathy with original poster, the game can be frustratingly cruel/hard.

You mean like real life football management can Mr McClaren?

Did drama school finish early today?

There is almost a format/template to these types of opening posts.

Age restrictions have NOTHING to do with the difficulty of a game. As with films, age ratings for games are based solely on it's contrnet with regard to foul language, gore and violence.

So although FM08 is quite rightly rated at 3+ This forum should be rated at 18+

And with regard to Steveray's original post all I can say is don't let the door hit you on the way out.

All your post tells me is that you got frustrated because everything wasn't going your way, you threw a tantrum and snapped your game disc and then felt you had to try and justify your actions.

My daughter used to do the same sort of thing. But she grew out of it by the time she was five.

why is there always this hostility aimed towards those who are clearly very frustrated with the game? i appreciate that they're not always terribly polite in the way they voice their views but frankly i don't understand why people feel the need to resort to insults to defend SI.

this game is incredibly frustrating compared to previous incarnations. the tactics are convoluted, strikers miss chances that even i could score - and i'm an extremely crap defender.

this game is designed to be fun. i enjoyed the previous FM/CM games as they were fun but challenging, yet whilst this game is certainly challenging i'm struggling to derive any fun from it. regardless, i'm still rather addicted to it!

sadly i do think that SI have focused too much on gimmicks and aesthetic/cosmetic improvements to the game rather than overhauling more crucial aspects of the game.

Oh give the guy a break, he is right this version is terrible compaired to the progression we expect for £25. I will give SI another chance or two but if this level of progression is goiung to continue then i will move on.
