I don't see the harm in having this option available. Some of you seem to care too much about other people's game experience. So what if you rate it as a non realistic feature? Will it damage your game experience in any way? Do you play the game to compare your achievements to other people's? I don't. I play it to have fun as that's what games are for. For some of us fun means managing to stay in league 2 without getting relegated for a decade. Others only have fun when they dominate Europe constantly. Those are both fine with me. Fun is in the eye of the beholder.
Some say "go and play CM, Fifa Manager" etc. Would it make you happy if FM had less fans and customers? Surely the money SI makes from all of us helps the game and the company in the long run. I think we'd all be on the losing side if people stopped buying this game. Apart from that, why must people be content with a lesser game such as those mentioned above? Only because they don't seem to share your belief of how the game must be played? There's no such thing as a right or wrong way.
Some suggest that you can always choose to play as Chelsea, Milan and Barca if you want to have instant success. Well, I'm a die hard Palermo fan and I pretty much only play with them. It's been the same for me since their Serie C days. If for some reason SI decided to erase the Italian leagues, I wouldn't even bother buying the game anymore. I don't want to play as Barca. I want to manage my beloved team and have success with it so I choose the "easy difficulty" level. Does that stop you from playing YOUR game as you please? I won't stop you from doing so and I'd appreciate it if you did the same for me.
