On all of the previous Football Managers, in every game there has been a fairly effective way of making money. For example, on FM2006, you could buy several players on the Bosman ruling and then just sell them quickly for a few million each. I think that everybody here knows about the successfulness of the merchandising feeder clubs on the previous version. However, seeing as the feeder clubs affect to my very limited experience seem to have lost some of their effect, are there any other ways of making big-bucks on this version. Obviously, I understand that we are talking about early days, but during my demo game with Man Utd I seemed to lose money every month. This being despite having a big stadium, a feeder club and being comfortably under my wage budget. Has anybody been able to make any money so far on this demo, by using a certain technique, not just plain luck?
One possibility is that due to the more active transfer system that the hay-days of two years ago could come back.
Please post your thoughts and opinions and lets try and make us some money.
Of course it's difficult to earn money with Man U, considering all the loan payments. I don't have any answer to your question though, we'll probably have to wait for the full version before we find out.
(If your league rules allow you)
You can buy young sud-american player (like Brazilian, most of them have low minimun release clauses) and 1-2 years after, you can sell them for huge bids.
It will be hard without good transfer policy and success. Fm2008 has had the financial side overhauled so that it isn't as easy to make money, because in Fm07 it was. I welcome it!
