Default Constructive Criticism

I'll just start by saying that i am in fact doing very well and am currently Top of the Prem with West Ham in my 2nd season after coming 4th in my first year.

I dont want people to say that i'm only criticising the game because i'm struggling, because i'm not, in fact i'm flying.

I probably should'nt be doing so well because my BIG BIG problem with the game is the "Matchday Experience" and as a result i just cannot force myself to watch the games?.

The defending is just absolutely atrocious, in fact its downright laughable, defenders just do not defend properly. Concentration and positioning has NO bearing whatsoever, neither do their instructions, its so painful to view i just cannot watch?.

Another obvious problem is players with no dribbling or pace stats flying past three or four defenders like Maradona at his drug induced best. Its not like once in a blue moon either, its happening countless times a game EVERY game?. I have been dumbfounded by the amount of times a player runs the ball from outside his own area all the way up the other end of the pitch without a single challenge going in and him then picking out the perfect cross or scoring an absolute belter himself?.

Crossing and heading are also both unrelated to player stats, after watching pinpoint cross's flying in from players with quite awful stats, picking out their only forward player with consumate ease and that player with ridiculously low heading and jumping stats getting above three of your big defenders to find the corner of the net with such ridiculous regularity that you cant help but wonder if its all worthwhile?.

I also cannot bear to watch poor Prem sides or lower league teams in the Cup passing the ball about like Brazil with intricate passing and wondrous 20 to 30 yard balls taken down effortlessly by players with a first touch stat that should see him fall over his own feet rather than pull off these ingenious intricacies again with such alarming regularity you would think your playing against 11 Ronaldinho's for gods sake?. These sides just DONT play this kind of football, in fact not many can, even great teams struggle to pull off the kind of ability you see on show from teams like Derby and Sunderland in the Prem, or Bournemouth and Hartlepool in the Cup?.

Its at a stage when you dont rightly know if you should be winning or losing, even if you've had 15 one on ones and the opposition have had just one shot all game, was it just a poor representation of the actual chances you made why you lost, how do you know?.

We all know 1 on 1's are either terribly illustrated, either that or i should be scoring ten goals a game, but what do you do about any of it when watching games there are no hints or tips as to how you can improve anything, basically because anything goes, even the downright impossible?.

Just to come away from the "Matchday Experience" for a moment, there is also a major problem with the Club's Board regarding transfer funds etc. The first season i was expected to finish in the top half, for which i was given a £26M transfer kitty(very nice), but 2nd season with more money in the bank and having qualified for the Champions League qualifiers, i was offered only a paltry £9M, it just does'nt add up does it?.

There are other quite major issues, but the very worst are the ones noted above and the absolute spoiler being the whole 2d match experience, which in its current implementation is absolutely killing what is essentially a great game.

Totally agree with most of what you say. I spent most of yesterday pulling my hair out over the state of the match engine in the latest patch. It really is shocking how bad it is at times.

In the end I started predicting what was going to happen, and funnily enough I got a lot of my predictions right, and I just ended up laughing at what a joke the engine has now become.

Never thought I'd moan like this, but it has taken a lot of matches to really analyze it properly. Now I have, I'm very disappointed.

Can't really comment as my defenders are rubbish so i'm not in a good enough position to comment on this.

This also applies a little bit to the first quote as well, but are you watching the entire match or just key highlights? On key and even extended highlights you won't see the opposition passing the ball around like one legged donkeys, or crosses that totally miss everyone and roll out the sidelines nearer to the halfway line then the goal, or your defenders intercepting or tackling a player who is dribbling. You generally only see the mistakes the teams make or any bits of brilliant skill. You need to watch the whole match or at least look at your players stats to see for example any good work your defenders are actually doing.

Nonsense.

That's as predictable and boring as saying "Imagine if all this money was REAL!" whilst playing monopoly.
Can't you maybe elaborate a little?
Tell him HOW it's his tactics, and how you've come to that conclusion?

Must agree with the OP, the more you play this game the more the bugs annoy you. There are far to many for me to list here, but the recurring ones for me are...

Corners - Why do they keep going near post even when near post is NOT selected? I changed mine to short option but 8 corners in one game and never once was the short option used.
Players backing off from the ball - I understand players need to cover their positions but no player should back away from a ball with a 60/40 advantage.
30 shots on goal but i don't know where my next goal is coming from.
Why do players shoot so timid at the keeper so often?
One on ones - I don't even want to get started on them!
Defensive Line - It doesn't matter how deep you set it they always push up to leave gapping holes.

The list could go on and on.

Oh my god SI what have you done?

Forget this micro management stuff, go back to basics.

I'm not seeing whats constructive about this post. it just looks like sheer criticism to me.

If you think they are issues, log them in the bugs forum.

If not maybe suggest why these things are happening or maybe what could be done about them to prevent them from happening, or maybe a way for the game to do something better.

Saying something is 'laughable' 'painful' 'ridiculous' doesn't make the post helpful, it just ends up starting an argument of differing opinions.

agree to. there are so many stuff i get crazy angry about that it get dangereus be around me when i play hehe.

altough a few days ago i thought the game was difficult and had huge problems with tactics.i played with lazio and had 2 pretty decent sesons and won seria A both times just before INTER (they are superb and buy players like crazy).i didnt had the money to reinforce my team exept 1 signing each year so i tweak and tweaked and modded my tactic.i feek now i come close to a perfect tactic and with heawy rotation and for the fans teams talks i do very good.

my table with 5 rounds left
