Is there anyway to leave a club without them hating you?

Lets say I'm at a club for a bit, i do well with 'em, but then feels it's time to move on. So i step down. The club immediately HATES me.

If Alex Ferguson were to step down tomorrow, i hardly think the club would hate him. After everything he has done.

Sure, if another club poached me right from their hands, i think they would be a but ****ed off.

It's frustrating because i want to leave a club and still be one of their favourite personnel.

Anyone found a way to do this without using FMM?

It's happened to me in 07 once. I was managing my hometown club and after 18 years of managing them to promotion, domestic and European success, I was on their favorite list.

This was a team that went from the lowest leagues of the nation to the top flight and became a major player in the top flight.

I was sacked due to a slump of form late in the season, but still remained in their favorite list for some time.

So I guess it's a matter of how long you've been managing them and how much success you have brought to the club. And I mean more then 5 years of managing.
