Why not try tweaking the passing to more of a normal type for the Attacking one? And more direct for the Normal. If your Defensive Midfielder isn't very good at passing put him on Through Balls "Mixed" as well, stuff like that. Customize it. Take a good look at each player's instructions and spot what's not good for the players you have. Change the formation about as well, maybe keep your Defensive Midfielder in his natural position no matter what the tactic.

Yeah I think i will...it looked good at first then i got found out...my DMC is Massimo Donati...he's actually got really good stats...but i think the iceing on the cake has to bejust played Preston away...they had a man sent off after 17 Mins...no goals up to 83rd min so i went attacking...lost 1-0...they scored n the break in the 95th min! I am going to cry now..
