I've seen some very nice screenshots with Bojan and Vela a few years into the game.
My question is quite simple; does a youngster's skills improve more if you let them play in the first instead of sending them on loans to less good clubs or let them play in the Reserve team?

i have mixed results, some people consider it good. i keep track of every single youth, they must progress at least at the rate of 12+ ca, using mini scout you will know this.

age - 17 move into reserves, use senior training, age 19 send out to championship or if good enough to premiership side, age 20 see if he fits in or you can send out again or sell off for profit ;-) i limit signing youngsters to US$1m per regen, and sell quite profitably at least for $6m + sell on clause. even if it is free transfer i always do sell on clause for youngsters

You see notable improvements in players who are having first team action. Tutoring always helps, otherwise kkboy80 seems to have it about right.

how do you find mini scout? And how can you check on the progress? especially when you refer to the +12ca?
