Get Armand Traore from Arsenal on loan. Sakho is a good LB as well (defensive) but I dont remember how much he costs in the first season. Also, not sure if he'll want to come. But check him out anyway. Emiliano Insua from Liverpool on loan is another option.
Smith is actually a good left back, if you haven't already sold him. Check and see if Quinton Fortune is still available on a free, that's who I signed at Aberdeen and he was excellent there.
still have smith but i felt he would be better as cover an i could get a better replacement, missed out on fortune he went to norwich, will try some of the others thanks for the suggestions
