Serious Welles, if I would use Google as my dictionary...
If a word is not accepted as an English word (I couldn't find it in Merriam-Webster as a noun for example), then you just make of it what ever you want to make of it. 8}
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=smiley however mentions it and says that it's written 'smileys'. Mmm, I would think "smilies" like Mark.
http://dictionary.cambridge.org/defi...2351&dict=CALD mentions it, but doesn't say anything about the plural form.
I wonder if we'll ever know the right answer. \:]
