A few quick points I'd like to make:

1) Chelsea's money is fecked up for some reason on my db, and their balance is about £2m. In order to make things more realistic, use an EDT file; I've got one already made, but I'll leave it up to Jambo to decide how much money they have

2) I'd reccomend using debug mode for added realism; it makes the game more interesting, and can make it more of a challenge for the managers. To set debug mode, type the command "DEBUG_MODE" into the init.cfg file in the data folder (the file will be empty when you open it, so the command should be the only thing in it when you save).

3) The website needs amending, in order to correlate with the changes that have been made - the original team selections are showing. Player details also need to be updated; will the individuals have the chance to do this themselves, or is Stu in charge of this?

4) Finally, are we going to have banners for reports again? If so, I can make some up for people if they'd like

5. init files

The init.cfg file is already on the game on installation so you don't have to make a file. The init.cfg file can be found here:

My Computer &gt; C &gt; Program Files &gt; Eidos &gt; CM 03-04 &gt; data

You now need to open it with wordpad or notepad. There are commands you can write in this file which add or modify parts of the game.

"DEBUG_MODE"
This command adds things to the game. You can view chairman's stats and aggressive players are more aggressive as they would be in real life. It adds misconduct bans to the game. In game commentary is added so players can be sent off for punching the ref or another player and then get banned for 3 months. It adds realism to the game and highly recommend it.

CM 03/04 - final db update for 04/05 season

Now, some points for you all:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>The database has been update as much as possible for the English leagues and Conference, up to and including 04/08/04. Obviously, there may be some mistakes in the database or things that I have skirted over, but these are likely to be minor issues that should not affect the game greatly
<LI>Emphasis has been put on making the English leagues correct, so some continental and European transfers and squads are not correct and up-to-date. I have been able to make the Spanish leagues completely up-to-date, but leages such as Italy, France and Germany have only been updated partially (to cover major transfers). Again, this should not affect the game greatly, especially considering the level at which we shall be playing
<LI>Club finances have been tuned to realistic levels in most cases, and should reflect the status and transfer dealings of clubs. Clubs such as Leeds, MK Dons and Sheffield Wednesday have sizeable debts, but clubs in general are in the black; as I have mentioned in my earlier post, Chelsea's balance is a problem, but one that can be sorted by using an EDT file
<LI>By using debug mode, players will react more to each other, and relationships between squad members will be more easily shown. For instance, Titus Bramble may think that Alan Shearer shouldn't take himself so seriously; however, this does not mean that he has a strong dislike for him. These statements are generally reflective of player's personalities, so can actually be helpful in letting you know which players you may have to keep an eye on
<LI>Finally, anyone wanting to use the GPG may as well not bother; the stats of a number of youth players have been edited in order to prevent certain players from continually becoming world-beaters. Some youngsters who have been highly rated by critics or who have performed well in sanctioned youth tournaments have been added or improved, and some stats have also been edited to reflect the progression some players made during the last year. Therefore, finding young players will be a challenge for you all (and before you start thinking I have an advantage, I shall resist signing all of the good youngsters to start with - I can't remember them all anyway).

However, Freddy Adu is obviously the best player EVER, so we can all fight over him </UL>
