Rep Power: 0 | Scottish cup 3rd Round Peterhead 0-0 Livingston
A great result considering Iain Good was not so good and got sent off on the 17th minute. The team held on to earn the reply and some more dosh and showed we are capable pf playing with the SPL teams. Scottish cup Reply Livingston 4-2 Peterhead
We actually lost a 2-0 lead after David Hagen scored in the 1st minute and Jamie Buchan hit or second in the 11th. Jason Dair pulled one back on the 43rd and Narc Libbra ran riot to score a second half hat trick. Gretna 2-1 Peterhead
We took the lead on the 10th due to a great Jamie Buchan (M.OM) goal only to loose two goals and leave us without any points. We missed a fare few chances but Gretna are a solid team and we just could not get back in the game with that needed goal. Morton would like to announce the appointment of new Manager Stewart Robertsonto the fold, and hope he continues his successful run in management. The manager would like to take a few questions before he gets back to managing the team. Rob- “ Yes Chic”
Chic- “Is it fair to say you’re a well traveled manager with this being your third club this season” Rob- “Yes that’s fair comment, I’ve always been one to further my career when I can and this move to a great club is the right move for me “
Chic- “Could say your following in manager Toners footstep” Rob- “You could, well someone’s got to sort out the mess he leaves……only joking he now just phones me up when he takes on a new role to give me directions to his old club”
Traynor – “ Don’t you think you’ve done yourself an injustice and the fans moving from the third division to the second so quickly especially when you had not won anything or been promoted, don’t you think football deserves better respect, don’t you think you’ve let down your last club and Scottish football in the whole” Rob- “next question Chic who let that Fud Traynor in”
Chic- “ What your first move in this new role” Rob –“ I’ve already moved and brought in loan player Charlie Adam from Rangers who should add a bit more creativity on the park, ok thanks gents got work to do” Forfar 2-2 Morton
Not the best of starts but with goals form Alex Williams and Ian Ferguson we should have taken all three points before we lost a sloppy goal on the 80th to draw, but were in a great position in the league. Alloa0-3 Morton
Three great goals raps up Robertson’s first win as manager with Bajram Fetai, paul Walker and Alex Williams on the score sheet and an impressive away win. Scottish Cup Forth Rd Hearts 2-1 Morton
We took the lead on the 16th with a nice Fetai goal but lost out to two weir goals from hearts. But at least we showed we could play at this level and happy with our performance.

Albion 1-0[h]att 1785
East Fife 1-1[a]att864
Stenhousemuir 3-0[a]att332
Peterhead 1-2[h]att2285
Gretna 4-0[h]att2602
and that was the final game ever for Orr in charge of Elgin
he got the Gretna boss sacked with Elgins stunning 4-0 win
so the Gretna board felt Orr had to get the job
with £1.2m to spend, hes in the postion to raid teams across the land to get the best
but without even signing a player, his 1st game was up against the league leaders who where on there 3rd manager and of course Orrs Arch ememy at Elgin
to spice things up even more Peterhead had only just done over Orrs Elgin 2weeks ago
so this game just had to be a cracker
and of course it was
2 men sent off, 7 goals, the lead swinging over times than Orrs wife
but it was Orr who got the last laugh by winning 4-3
next up Albion ,whos boss Nicol is a friend of Orrs , but that didn't come into it today when he brushed aside Albion 5-1, even thou Albion took a early lead , the big change for Gretna was Orr was playing with a flat back 3 , which to be honest looked like this cousins tactics Juan Ibanez
Hugh Keevans : well done on taking a team you just dicked and who are further out of the race for 2nd place than Elgin, are you daft?
Davie Orr : Daft? what are you talking aboot?[Orr throws the daily record at Hugh]
HK oh right youre 3rd now 3 points behind Cowdenbeath
DO aye ya pleb,Fook sake Hugh you a daft speccy toss pot , what have you gotta say to that?
HK nothing really
DO aye well then ,am sorted well on top of it and you come in here giving it big shoot
HK look am sorry, but big Mark gave me the info
DO big Mark?
HK Mark Hately
Do ahh for fooksake Mr Badtaste him self
HK yes him , so there 5 games left do you think you can do it?
Do oh aye nae bother,i just dinny move fae one side of the country for nothing
HK oh cause everyone thinks you did it so you could be closer to home ?
DO home me nah
HK well if it was me Gretna or Elgin and travelling from Plymouth ,Grenta it has to be
Do aye well thats you and do don't have to put up with the wife, if that was the case i would of took over the thruso job then or John o'Groats
Hk so why then?
Do you really are one daft pleb , try the spending money £1.2m
HK ah never though of that
Do ah fook off hugh ive had enough
HK back to you Derek in the studio [pause] oi Dj canny chance of editing that interview
still tuned to the Gretna story , will Orr clinch that 2nd place and get them into the 2nd find out next week

After looking at the second division table on the Daily Recordand being still hopeful of promotion, Manager Stewart Robertson was rushed to Hospital after fainting, he was heard saying 1.2, 1.2 1.2 Million then dropped out of his seat. His secretary only said the paper was opened on the page with the Gretna Story on it.,,, we wish him well but the Club expect him to make a full recovery for next weeks game. |

Rep Power: 0 | Same Old From Stenie
Call it bad luck, call it bad coaching, call it dodgy mansonic referee-ing, "they know I'm a tim a tell ya !" but Stenie seem to be suffering heavily from Red Cards and injuries.
After a few good weeks, Stenie pushed them selves up to 4th in the table, things were looking good, confidence was sky high, then it started, you get snaped at a tic game and before you know the Ref's turn card happy on my team, 2 midfielders off in one game, then 2 defenders, then tell you what that stiker has it a rich vien of form, off you go son.
So stenie now struggle 7th, Stewart has hardly been able to throw out his preferred 11 for weeks, the dreaded vote of confidence quote seems to appear in the Daily Record day after day.
Asked for a quote Stewart replied
"Look the club had no cash what's so ever, none nadda we were skint, I get a cup run going we make a cracking we sum, nothing comes back to me, the Ref go card happy and you lot want me sacked, of course I'm under f&%*ing pressure !"
"I get no money and that Orr gets 1.2 million, yes 1.2 million not a question asked were it came from eh, no one goes sniffing round, he just sits there and smiles at us all, thinks he's king of the castle that one!"
"I still have confidence that I can turn this round, no problems, I just need time, and some effort from the players, and these bloody ref's to keep them cards in the top pocket for a week or two"

The scene - Steniehousemuir managers office, quiet chap at the door.
Iain Stewart manager of Stenie "Come in."
In walks Hugh Keevins, Daily Record Sports Journo.
IS " Ah Hugh how are you today then ?"
HK " Not bad Mr Stewart, and may I just say thanks for the interview."
IS " not a problem and call me Iain, Tea, Coffee ?"
HK " Sure Iain thanks coffee would be great, milk and 2"
IS " Well Hugh I just heard the way that fella Orr treated you, disgracefull !"
HK " Well yes it was kinda, and may I just apologise about the vote of confidence article"
IS " Not a problem Hugh, water under the bridge, forget about it"
IS " You know Hugh we're not all as bad as that Orr fella, he jump ship, get hiumself some cash thinks he's all that now, so he does, shouting his mouth off, I'll sign this one and that one, funny really"
HK " True I mean not that he's had any success in the game, and he's still to spend the money wisely or face the wrath of an angry chairman"
IS " Exactly Hugh, I mean the pressure is really on him now"
HK" So you think you can improve the warriors then Iain?"
IS" Of course Hugh, or why else would I stay here and battle it out, I won't be making Division 2 this year but if Davie Orr thinks because he's rich, that we'll all just bow down to him, he's got another thing coming."
IS " I really have faith in this squad, a few fresh faces and we'll be up there battling away Hugh."
HK " Well Ian thanks for the coffee, such a refreshing change to meet a nice polite manager after dealing with that Orr, all the best and lwets hope Stenie pick up the pace."
IS " No problem Hugh thanks for dropping by."
As Hugh Keevins leaves, Stewart set down and looks at his squad, ponders the run in and the best tactics to use in the weeks ahead.

They say a year in football is a long time and none more so than when you're in the doldrums of the Scottish Leagues.
Ok so it's not yet a year but it sure feels like it at times and current Falkirk boss Gary Toner knows that as well as anyone especially when he left promotion chasing Morton to take over the Bairns, But should Falkirk fans expect loyalty from the man who has already jumped ship twice this current season i guess only time will tell.
Toner was brought into Falkirk and charged with the job of saving the side from relegation and barring a few bad results Falkirk are currently outwith the relegation zone however the are far from safe and Toner must be dreaming of life back in Greenock as the two clubs could pass each other at the end of the season with his Falkirk side being relegated and his old Morton players being promoted. with a few quid to spare
Davie Orr has been rather quiet in the transfer market
with the failure to clinch 2nd spot in the 3rd the pressure is surely on on Orr to get them out of the 3rd asap
but with the signing of the young Rangers keeper Allan McGregor , things seem to be looking good for Gretna , other players linked with the club are Ederson and Gustavo Garcia but will these players be willing to playing in Scotland at the lowest level , means to be seen?
