i had to reinstall p/s cs. i forgot to move tif files to open in windows fax and picture. now when i try to open an image, it opens p/s. can i change this without reinstalling again? thanks, boyd

I did a test myself with JPEG, which are opened by ACDSEE.
I can change that in ACDSEE, but there are also other ways to do this and this particular example might also work for you:

- Open Explorer
- Tools/folder otpions
- click on 'File Types'
- click on TIF or TIFF, dependending on which one you want to correct
- click on delete
- click on ok

This approach worked for me to force picture viewer to open my Jpegs instead of ACDSEE.

Don't worry if the TIF(F) files don't have the picture viewer icon when you first look at them in explorer. After you've opened a file once, this should be corrected by the Operating System automatically.
