The Eagle has landed
A new year and Palace still stiuck just on the cusp of automatic promotion!! An away trip to Burnley was the tonic for the hangovers awaiting the players!!
2nd January 2006
An early wake up all greeted the Palace when their former multi million pound flop came back to haunt them in spectacular style, with a fourth minute goal against his former employers. Andy Johnson soon took offence and netted an admirable equaliser for the eagles to send the teams in level at half time. The goal was of such quality, and Johnsons contribution so good, that later he would receive the Man of the match award

. Jon Macken finaly put the Palace on the pedestal they deserved when he scored the winner early in the second half.

After such a hectic schedule, something had to give and, despite best intentions, it was a tired performance and a sloppy defence which let the Tigers depart with three points safely tucked away, earned via a Craif Fogan goal in the first half

The Derby keeper performed heroics to keep the visitors on an even keel in this game. After Idiakez put the Ram’s in front, Palace rampaged through the Derby half but were kept at bay by some exemplary work by Lee Camp, which was recognised with a well deserved Man of the match award. Ben Wright did equalise for the Eagles in the second half but they were unable to make the pressure count and seal the win :thdn:

A match against fellow EFB Manager Tony Hall, and Palace were looking for some payback after undeservedly losing the home leg after dominating the game! But despite continuing the domination at Portman Road, Palace still came away frustrated , although a point better off than the last outing! The goalless match only memorable for Tom Soares Man of the Match performance

The teams current slump in form was brought to an abrupt end with this fine performance Ben Wright, proving to be a masterstroke of a signing for rouchies Palace grabbed a goal in the first half , Tom Feeney did level the gamer at the last knockings of the half but it proved to be false hope for the hatters. 10 minutes after the restart Wright sealed his brace, the Johnson netted followed by Butterfield. Tom Soares, although not on the scoresheet had an influential game and deserved the Man of the Match Champagne presented to him after the game
