Wolves Have Flying Start

With rookie manager Mike Law now at the helm Wolves fans were sceptical to wether Law would be up to the challenge. The board have given me just over 1M to spend and with the club already over the wage budget some players wil be on there way out. Heres who went and who was brought in.....

Out

George Ndah for 30K

Paul Jones for Free

Colin Cameron for 600k-P/Ex

Joleon Lescott for 900k

In

Neil Winstanley for 140K

Dickson Etuhu for P/Ex

Moharram Navidkia for 130K

Kenneth Stenild for 100K

Adekanmi Olufade for 90K

So with some new players in and some players out the season go under way....

Rotherham 3-4 Wolves

Wolves 2-1 Preston

Leeds (Nick) 3-2 Wolves

Ipswich 1-1 Wolves

Sheff Weds* 1-2 Wolves *now Rick but not at time

Pedro Mendes - Hannover - 2.5m
Johnnie Jackson - Hibernian - 1.5m

Players Out In Jan

Sean Davis - Charlton
Noe Pamarot - Strasbourg

Future Targets
My main target for the january transfer market is Leo Messi from Barcelona, and possibly another defender and a Right Midfielder if the transfer budget allows me.

Onto The Results
A Mixed set of results at this half way stage so far this season.

Tottenham 0 - 0 Bolton Wanderers
Disapointing debut for my first game in charge of spurs, neither side able to break the deadlock, although Bolton producing more shots, and Paul Robinson putting in a man of the match performance.

Fulham 4 - 0 Tottenham
Dreadful performance from the Spurs, never got going at all, and on the back foot the entire game, Fulham took the lead early on with Boa Morte forcing the ball home, he later added a second goal for himself. Niclas Jensen put the game beyond any doubt midway through the second half, before Collins John inflicted more devostation in the tottenham ranks, a very disapointing afternoon.

Tottenham 1 - 2 Arsenal
A much stronger performance, a change in tactic, a change in personnel, and a change of skipper, Ledley King taking over the armband from Edgar Davids, an improved spurs side looked more aware and defencer brilliant against a volatile Arsenal attack, Henry put the gunners in a deserved lead before halftime, Reyes made it 2-0 Arsenal with a sublime solo run & finish around the hour mark, Tottenham battled hard to get something from the match and their persistence paid off with Eddie Johnson finding the net for Tottenhams first goal of the season.

Blackburn Rovers 1 - 3 Tottenham
Tottenham performed well in this close encouter with James Cale's Blackburn side, both teams having alot of shots early on, it was spurs to strike first Johnson lashing the ball home from close range, Emerson doubled spurs advantage before Kuqi pulled one back for Blackburn, the game was wrapped up just before the end by a Gardner header.

Tottenham 2 - 0 Middlesbrough
A very fast start to this match, Robbie Keane putting us 1 up 5minutes into the game, 3 minutes later spurs were in dreamland and 2-0 up, im sure boro didnt know what had hit them, and when southgate brought down Defoe, Andy Reid decided to take the penalty - which was well saved by the goalkeeper, tottenham seem to switch off second half, thanks to robinson the scoreline ended 2-0

Manchester United 0 - 0 Tottenham
A very close game, draw probably a fair result in the end both side not having too many attempts on goal, and the ball was mostly in the midfield, Ledley King putting in a good performance again as did Robinson.

Hull 1 - 0 Tottenham - League Cup 2nd
Rather not dwell on this one too much, first teamers were given a rest and some second string players were given the chance to shine, exactly what they didn't do! a poor defensive pass which robinson miss-interpretated pass gifted hull a goal, which spurs couldnt recover from, out the cup at this early stage.

More Results To Follow....

So with Plymouth fans over the moon of where they find there team placed at the moment in the championship it was my job to try and keep this impressive run up and push up higher in league.

Not a lot has happened since the last report except we developed a taste for drawing loads of games in a row. It was pretty annoying and now its over we are back onto the losses again but still maintaining a reasonable position that no one in their right mind would be unhappy with.

On the transfer front I have managed to secure a couple more players that will actually come join plymouth and will be on their way in January.

Unitl then though we are going to have to fight with the **** we have got. Certain injuries have led to me sticking a defender in the midfield which hasnt worked out that well. I was even thinking of trying my keeper upfront due to the poor amount of goals that we score.

The extra couple of players that are on their way to Plymouth in January are:

Jorge Silva - A nice old defender who could teach the young guys a thing or two like how to play decent football.
Brett Ormorod - Has the pace of a cheetah and the skill of a young Ian Wright. Hopefully will scare the opposition defence with his blinding pace and net us a few extra goals that we need. Costing me 200k also which is loads in Plymouth's eyes im suprised it aint making the club go into receivership.
Leonard Thurre - Very impressive record for the club we are buying him off but that is some shitty little swiss club. Hopefully will score loads for my club.
Nauzet Aleman - A defender that cant tackle but has loads of pace and a cool name .

So another 4 to join the merry crew at Plymouth and hopefully improve my squad for the better but we will just have to see.

Now onto the results which seen us fall yet a couple more places in the league but we did secure a few wins against decent sides and should of had more if it wasnt for dodgy late comebacks.

Plymouth 1-1 Cardiff

A game which seen us get off the mark early with scott taylor netting one on the 4th minute only for them to spoil our party in the 2nd half by grabbing an equaliser on the 74th minute. Thank god new strikers are on their way .

Wolves (Mike) 1-1 Plymouth

What a well earned point this was as we fought and fought and were often on the back end and finding it hard to cope with the wolves forward and when we went 1 up I couldnt believe it. But again like the last game a late equaliser came this time on the 81st minute to give us a 2nd draw on the trot.

Wigan (Si Murphy) 0-1 Plymouth (League Cup 3rd round)

Didnt expect this but after a superb display of strength and persistance it finally paid off and we were rewarded with a goal. The match itself was very even which suprised me a bit although Wigan did have more attempts on target and we unlucky not to take this game into extra time.

Plymouth 1-0 Watford

Our great win in the league cup had an effect on this game as we kept our first clean sheet for a while and got 3 more points in the bag for our league campaign.

Norwich 2-0 Plymouth

Despite having 12 shots to norwich's 3 we conceeded 2 and our keeper was the candidate to blame for it. A game which we dominated to be fair and Norwich got lucky in.

Plymouth 2-1 Leicester

You know the feeling where you think winning 2 games in a row is impossible well that was the feeling I was starting to get right now at this point. Our incosistancy had cost us and moved us a little down the table which wasnt very good.

Sheff Utd 3-1 Plymouth

A battering this was but despite the scoreline it was a pretty even game just Sheff Utd got the better of it.

Plymouth 2-0 Crewe

Due to a whole lot of my strikers being injured it was time for Derbyshire to shine this game and he did grabbing both of our goals in what was a reletivly easy win. Our 11 shots on target were to show for our dominance but only 2 being on target was a big worry.

Plymouth 2-1 Millwall (League Cup 4th round)

In this game we went 1 down early on but pushed and pushed to find an equaliser and got the winner aswell. A great preformance which seen us through to the next round.

Crystal Palace (Razor's assistant) 0-0 Plymouth

Due to razor's connection going at this time (What a convieniant time didnt want to face me himself if you ask me ) I was forced to play his assistant and what a boring game it was.

The only excitement was when taylor went limping off injured as everyone cheered.

Stoke 4-2 Plymouth

A game which started out well for us but the 2nd half was a shambles. On came paul gallagher for them as a sub and he netted a hat trick in the 2nd half to end our dreams of beating almighty stoke

George Ndah did show me that he wasnt completely useless though by actually scoring.

Plymouth 2-0 Hull

From Ndah scoring his first to bunjevcevic scoring his first goal this game in which we played pretty well managing for the first time so far to get all our shots on target maybe this was a new era for mr and my Plymouth team.

QPR 2-0 Plymouth

Bunjevcevic scores and this game he pays the price for it coming off injured in the first half. A poor as **** performance from us which seen little chances created. We were lucky to escape with just a 2-0 defeat.

Reading 3-0 Plymouth

A loss which marked the turn around as we had actually lost 2 games in a row in the league maybe the pattern had disappered. Again created very little and Reading deserved the win.

West Brom (Aida) 3-2 Plymouth (League Cup quarter final)

A spirited performance from my team this was as we stood up to West Brom and didnt let the height of their defence intimidate us.

Despite being 3-1 down near the end of the game aswell a 90th minute goal for bouazza gave us a little hop[e but it was just a little too late

So that signalled the end to all of last weeks games and it wasnt a bad week for me and Plymouth overall and we were currently placed 13th in the division what I was happy with.

Reaching the quarter finals of the league cup aswell only happened once in a million with me but maybe it was time for a change.

Thats it until we have played more in tonights session hopefully we can move up some more places with the new arrivals soon on their way

Session tonight

Just to let all know although most know already but members that left early dont that the error popped up for a 2nd time when we had gone less than a week in the session.

To stop people from playing the same games for a 3rd time I will move it forward to after the games of the 1st time it crashed so that on Sunday session we wont be playing the same games all over again.

I've also got a screenshot of the error and posting it to si as its ****ing bullshit. See you all sunday session and if any want to know how they got on in the games just contact me on msn.

My assistant will play my games also :thup:

Alrite guys ive moved it forward to the 7th january games just before the FA cup clashes as before the errors we had got to the games just before them.

This is how you all got on in the 4 games played

Me - Won 1 Lost 3 ---> 15th (champ)
Si Murphy (Not in sesh anyway)- Lost 3 won 1 ---> 18th (prem)
Nick - Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 1 ---> 2nd (champ)
Mike - Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 1 ---> 3rd (champ)
Sean - Won 1 Lost 3 ---> 20th (prem)
Si White - Won 2 Lost 2 ---> 14th (champ)
Brendan - Lost 4 ---> 19th (prem)
Aida - Won 1 Drawn 2 Lost 1 ---> 8th (prem)
Stevey - Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 1 ---> 16th (prem)
Ant - Won 1 Lost 3 ---> 14th (prem)
Jimmy - Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 1 ---> 4th (prem)
Rick - Won 1 Drawn 1 Lost 2 ---> 18th (champ)

As you will probably see a few have gained from the errors coming up although I think more have lost. Bit annoying that the same error came up twice and the game closed but having moved it will make us forget about the errors and get on with things

Next session sunday usual times which as you all already know will be the last then we will head off on our christmas break :thup:
