Hi Mookie, I’m the prat that posted the link to the iso Forum and got banned. I’m sorry poor Turps had to contact you to try and get me back online.
Ok here’s what happened.
Personally I don’t download games, I do have a friend down south that is not really into pirating anything especially games (he’s not a gamer at all) but is dead interested in the technology behind it and is a member of all those forums for his massive MP3 collection. So we have been friends for years and keep in touch by e-mail and as you do I told him I was playing a management (CM4) game online with a clan. To tell you the truth I don’t think he knows much about CM games but while he was in one of his forums he spotted CM03/04 and sent me a link not to the actual download site but some info file giving a date of the 14th Nov release. This was the main point he was sending it for as I had told him on Thursday By e-mail while playing online that I was on ordering the new game off game.com but it was not out till the 21st and that I wanted to get used to it before the clan started on the 10th Dec.
So while on your forum, our Clan thread someone was asking if they could join the clan and I was looking at their previous posts just out of interest to read his thought and comments on CM and his latest post took me to the post thread I got banned on. So I read the posts and the discussion was that CM03/04 was out by some means and a few guys were hitting back at this poor sole and saying what rubbish and I just responded by saying it looked like this was the case and posted the Link sent to me by my friend to back this up. I then thought this probably is not the best thing and tried to delete it but I did not have the rights to do so and only later did I remember I could have edited the post to take out the link but it was to late.
I don’t know if there is a big warning on the main page of the Forum telling of this zero tolerance approach to any mention of CM03/04 being out as I have the clan page bookmarked with me logged in and the General CM discussion page also bookmarked. I’m not even that sure what the Wares site is as even out of interest if you wanted to join the forum it’s done through registering with a porn site and there was no way in hell I was doing that just to have a look at the forum.
So I understand completely why I was banned and can only ask that could I get access back to posting on the clan thread only and maybe be able to read the other forum pages only. As without posting the results and reading the banter on the clan page I’ll have to give up CM and I was really enjoying playing it online with the lads. And of course best of all I will not be a prat again on the boards. I know it’s a bit silly but I attached a pic of my original CM04 game it has Sav written on a piece of paper too, if you had read my other posts I had responded to a few guys saying that the game was being sold for £17.99 on Game.com.
