Lleida Employe Hot-Shot Englishman!

Today it was announced that Dimothy Fernando-Field would take control of second division Lleida

Nothing was exepected of there season but the manager ,who has formerly had succsessfull promotion campaigns with Genoa and Celtic, has brought renewed optimism to the team!

Signaling out 2 loan signings and 2 permanant ones as key to there first half season succsess Fernando-Field had this to say..

We aim to bring in 4 signings, two short term, 2 long term. I fully expect to realise this expectation and save our club from relagation. I have been in contact with the Albacete manager and can confirm the first signing will come in from Albacete on a season long loan. Would very much like to wish all Lleida fans a happy new year and look forward to a decent season!

Peters to the Gim

No not the exercise type, but the spanish football club Gimnastic.

With the season just about to start peters took time off from writing his 3rd album to once again bambosal the press.

' My mind games worked last season, and leaving Verona was a tough decision given the league position we achieved. But the Gim called and I had to go. Just hope I beat Damo and Dave this season.'

And with that he left.

Manson Warns Newly Arrived Englishmen Not To Expect Too Much Too Soon

It seems the mind-games have already started in the Segunda Division.

New Xerez manager Alexis Manson is surprised by the new trend of British managers flocking to the Iberian peninsula.

I find it strange that English people would want to come voer here and manage our clubs. Not that I'm a xenophobe or anything, it's just I don't believe they have the required knowledge of Spanish football to succeed at this level.

I might be a newbie in terms of management, but I have good knowledge of how Spanish football is played, as well as a good knowledge of players in this country.

I am sure the likes of Damo Field and James Peters are good managers, as they have proven in the past, but I think they should be patient and not expect too much too soon, as they will need a couple of seasons at least to adapt fully to the Spanish way of life.

Their success will probably depend on how well they motivate their players.

Kukyman arrives at Valladolid

Former Albinoleffe and Udinese miracle manager was called by a second division spanish club Valladolid.
" I couldnt refuse such a chellange. Bringing a div2 team to the LA LIGA to compete with teams like Real And Barca will be awesome ... "

Valladolid is one of a favorites to promote in La Liga but some bad financial status must be healed. Manager Kuk saying he will try to keep all the ambitious players but might kick the greedy and not effective out ... some small revolution will be done . Rumours are that a slovenian talented player will join the north spanian side soon ....

peters rang the Sports desk of SI games and issued this threat.

'Well Alex, it's not strange we should come - the weather is better - but you should ask whether you can hack it now with so many english managers and players coming maybe it will be more like the english leagues and will need the tactics of the english game to succeed?

And don't worry about how I motivate my players - you should worry more about yourself - check your health and things like that....'

And with that he hung up.......

Reporter - What do you make of these comments then mr field?

DFF -Well if these children want to play games over there little toys then so be it, im here to win. let me make it clear that come the days when our boys meet the teams of Alex "chances of getting promoted are less than getting hit by a 40 foot pink elephant" Manson and James "likes to buy any old, over rated englishman" Peters we will be ready and we will have no mercy in destroying these merchant of mind games

Reporter - Strong words indeed, so aside from mr manson and mr peters who do you think will challenge your spanish supremecy?

DFF - Well i think dave manson will be the obvious choice, great track record.

Reporter - Anything else to add mr field?

DFF - Yes, kuk wears pink french knickers when he plays football, and mika is an addicted toliet user, please help these two in there quest back to normality

Manson Bemused

Xerez manager Alexis Manson has just made these comments in the press.

James Peters' immaturity and Damo Field's preposterous over-confident comments are exactly what I've come to expect of English people coming over to Spain on holidays. Sadly though, these two are here to stay, apparently.

I am sorry Mr. Peters took my comments to heart, as I was merely suggesting that perhaps he should reconsider his decision to come to a completely foreign league.

If he reacts this way to such non-threatening comments, I would really not like to be around him if someone actually insulted him.

Now, regarding Mr. Field's comments - I would suggest he give lessons in comedy.
Maybe that is how he intends to motivate his players before games, in the dressing room?
Laughing is a good way to relax after all. It could be a very interesting way of approaching and preparing for difficult games.

Lleida Striker Speaks Out!

Mate Bilic was quoted today...

I confuse over many comments about mr field. He treat all like equal and feed me kabanos to keep me strong in tackle!

When asked what he thought of Alex Mansons comments about the dressing room attitude and general demeiner of Mr Field the striker had this to say...

Mr Field treat all well, he keep motivation higher and not take no...er...how you say in english....er...um..he not take no doggy mess. He treat every game like last and always wish for power win, Mr Field say if Mate drink milk, Mates bones grown strong...which i told is needed against manson lead teams....

Mate Bilic then returned to training where the team where playing pass the parcel on the penalty spot of the Lleida training pitch

I'd worry more about Simon, Ben and Kuky if I were you

This is turning into quite the soap opera
