I have found a couple of people with the same problem i have but neither of them have managed to find a solution.
I am trying to play a network game with my brother, we are both running FM06 with v6.0.1 Build 70473 patch. My brother can connect to my pc and "new user client" appears on my game status however, when he clicks new user his game freezes and he can't enter his name or chose a team. We have tried turning firewalls off, reinstalling the game, nothing works, can someone please help because it is starting to drive us both up the wall!!
| Does your pc have an AMD64 processor ?
or an nforce board with nVidia network card?
there seems to be additional work required for this to run on this hardware although I do know a host who runs fine with the above.

I have a AMD Sempron, with onboard graphics. The thing is that although my brother cannot access the game properly my mate can get in absolutely fine.

u will have to either wait for a patch to fix it or install another card :/

| This only need to be done for the host.
You forward the ports to the IP address of the pc that is acting as the host.
normally a 192.168.1.1 is its always best to give the server a static ip address rather then let the router give on via in built DHCP.
Only the host needs to do this !

| The problem then is with your brothers PC, check xp firewall, any norton security or similar software for blocking applications.
Also if he's in the same house as you, remember he'll need to connect using your internal address as he's on the internal network and your mate if over the internet the external address.

| Rubbish, I both play and host on an Nforce Board with a Nvidia card and my mates also plays and hosts on an AMD64 with Nforce board and Nvidia chip.
Sorry but something else is causing the problem.

Rep Power: 0 | HELP NEEDED I have Thompson Speedtouch 510 Router then a Dell Wireless 2350 Router to send signals to my laptop. When i put the cable from the thompson router directly in the lap (not using the wireless connection)everything works fine, but wen i try to host the game using the wireless connection my friends cant see the game. I also notised that the ip settings in the game change. Using only the Thompson router the ip is 10.0.0.2 / 198.xxx.xx.xx and when i also use the wireless connection the ip is 192.168.2.2 / 198.xxx.xx.xx
So the problem is in the Wireless router but i cant solve it out. Can anyone plz help.

I recently changed from FM05 to FM06 for my clan game but unfortunately one of my clan members can't connect to the game. I've left the settings as they were for FM05 and also made exceptions for the game in Norton Anti-Virus and my firewall but he can't connect whatsoever.
I have had people connect to me before which as only a couple of weeks ago and I've only just changed the settings but he couldn't connect before I tweaked with the settings.
As I've mentioned before I've left settings as they were for FM05 with the ports open, surely it should still work!?!
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
