We all have to start somewhere. Whether it be spending 12 years as a coach at an unknown Scottish team or being named as player/manager at Juventus, we all have to begin at some team.
And thats what this clan is all about. Managers from England to Romania have taken up the challenge to start as a nobody and become a world class manager.
Will someone stand shoulder to shoulder with greats like Matt Busby, Alex Fergusion and Jose Mourino after starting in the footballing wilderness that is the Welsh Premier League?
The unknown Englishman Andrew Mackin has been named manager of Newtown AFC for the 2006/7 season.
Whilst having absolutley no managerial or coaching experience, Mackin is a well travelled player, spending time playing for teams like Derby Boys and Belper Town.
No amount of playing experience will prepare him for the challenge he faces. Mackin takes charge of a team who are on a seeemingly unstopable slide down the table and are predicted a lowly finish of 16th in the league.
"It's going to be a challenge, myself, the board, the fans and the team all know that" said Mackin. "However, some careful signings in the the transfer window will strengthen our team sufficiently to avoid relegation. The team we have at the moment definetly has potential to pus for a top 8 finish and enter the Premier Cup, but our first target is to avoid relegation".
SI Forum's Well known Manager Tony Hall has decided to go back to the lower leagues and has taken the reigns of Bangor City.
Welsh club Bangor City is steeped in history of doing well in the FAW Cup and in the league but have not won either in recent times due to the dominence of TNS and Llainel.
Tony Hall hopes to change the face of Welsh football and end the dominence of TNS and Llainel and bring success to Bangor City. When we caught up with him he had the following to say.
"Of course its not going to be a easy task, we have two top teams up there whose grip on the Welsh League is tight, I'm signing a few good players and staff to assist me in untightening the grip and getting us a trophy or two. I know Bangor City is no Liverpool or Reading but I love a challenge and I intend on winning this challenge."
The relatively unkown 22 year old english manager has been apointed as manager of welsh premier league side Rhyl.
Watson face a tough league and european challenge ahead with Rhyl expecting to finish 3rd behind high flyers Tns & Llainel.
In a media conference Watson was quoted as sayin "The challenge ahead is something that i relish, I have a fantastic board behind me and expect to bring succes to this historic club and hope to be here for a number of years to come".
im Mike, i have just taken up the job at welshpool, at 20-1 i rekon ive got a good chance of challenging for the title , ive only just joined and its a bit later than all the others so havent signed many players but still, good luck to all those in the humble beginnings clan
It's been a very busy pre-season for all the clubs. The main news story is the exodus and replacement of managers within the Welsh League. A total of 11 teams have had managerial changes. These are:
Newtown - Andrew Mackin
Aberystwyth - Joseph Bailey
Rhyl - Shane Watson
Cwmbran - Georgie Harvey-Dell
Port Talbot - Ryan Kieran
Carmarthen - Dan Kluska
Andrei Mistreanu - Caersws
Mark Driver - Airbus
Tony Hall - Bangor City
James Morris - Haverfordwest
Mike Boden - Welshpool
With all these changes, the league will be very unpredicitible and will surely be an exciting and enthralling season
Andrew Mackin revealed an almost totally new squad to the media. A combination of youth players and signings have meant that Mackin has sold a lot of the original players that were there.
"Some people will think I've made too many changes" said Mackin, "But it was important to strengthen the squad. We've got a good backroom and playing staff and look forward to the coming season"

A Positive Pre-Season
On the eve of the first league game against Llainel, Andrew Mackin announced that he was 'pleased' at how his preseason friendlies went, despite conceding 36 goals and scoring just 4 in 7 games. This including an incredile 15 drumming away to Cardiff.
"The results weren't great, we'll admit that" said Mackin, "But we were playing very illustrious oppenents. We've earned a hueg amount of money in gate recipts however, which will fund the team for years to come. The only results you can really take notice of is our 2-2 draw against Belper, where we played some good, attacking play, and our 3-0 loss to Aberystwyth, and we were all over them for 60 minutes and just didn't get any luck"
"Myself and the team have mid-table aspirations, but out first obkective is to avoid relegation"
