Not a bad bunch of transfer activity I don't think. I wasn't actively looking to sell Sidwell, but with Tottenham sniffing around I tempted them into releasing two of their players to me whom I was interested in. A goalkeeper was my priority, and luckily the Arsenal boss let me have Almunia for a cut-price.
Only started out with £1.3m to spend, then the chairman requested I get a top class player, so I splashed out on Leandro Lima. Hopefully he'll do the business for me. Eddie Johnson is my ideal cheap target man, while Gardner takes the place of sold Sonko. A couple of scout-recommended Czechs polished off the spending, with a little left over from sales for later.
