Updates
It is a requirment that every manager must produce one update on their team every week in the clans thread. Managers may do more than one a week , but one a week is a minimum requirment.
If a manager doesn't post one update a week , without good reason he will be given a yellow
card two of theses 'yellow cards' will result in being kicked out of the clan.
Attendance
Managers should attend 100% every session, if someone can't make the session for some reason they need to contact me at least an hour before the session.
However if you are sacked whilst your assistant manager is in charge we are not held responsible.
We understand that people can't attend every session and we understand that occassionally you might need to go out as long as it isn't every session and you contact us before hand you will be fine.
Communication
During the sessions we will be communicating through MSN Messenger.
General Rules
There is to be no racism and if anyone is appears to be racist to another manager they will be removed
from the clan.
If for any reason you don't get along with another manager or you think they may be cheating then please let me know via MSN or E-mail.
We are not accepting any managers have a 56k modem, due to the amount of lag this creates.
Connection
Members are not to try connecting or disconnect during sessions.
If your connection is playing up on a session day get it sorted and return when it is stable.
No one is to give the game ip out to anyone who is not a member of the clan.
Members are not too password their team.
Assistants are to take control of friendlies aswell as team talks.
Manager mind games are allowed but all managers are to keep them to a minimum.
The game can be subject to crashing sometimes whether it is the hosts connection that goes or its another members. If the hosts connection does go down at some point please do not worry as the game itself is in no danger. Just wait patiently and within a few minutes the game will be back up. It has been known for it to happen sometimes during games. Please note the host cant do anything to prevent the games from not continuing on so please do not moan and start blaming the host if the result doesnt end up the way you wanted it to.
The game has been known to instantly close sometimes due to errors, whether or not you benefit from the error it is not be blamed on other people in the clan as to why the error has appeared.
Game/Match Speed
All games are to be played very fast, commentry only and replays off, this is to prevent crashes and so the game runs quicker for everyone.
Tactics + Training
All Tactics are to be your own work, obviously there isnt very much I can do in terms of checking whether they are your own work or not but if they look to be suspicious then you will be asked to change.
Sackings
If you are to get sacked then you are to put a number next to your name. This number will indicate the amount of times you have been sacked in the game.
No one is to take charge of any international clubs if a job if offered to you.
Issuing any kind of ultimatum is banned from the game and should not be done if you are wanting out of a job for some reason.
If you do get sacked then I will radomly select a team for you, once your team has been choosen you may add yourself to the game.
Ok, thats the official stuff out of the way now lets have some fun, see you guys online at 7pm for t&t.
Today Ian Dowie parted company with Coventry City after only being in charge of the club for little over six months. The reason for Dowie's depature is unknown , although reports are circulating that the depature has something to do with Dowie's high profile court battle against Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan.
The man placed in charge at the Ricoh Arena is relative unknown Simon Whitworth, Whitworth who himself was one of Dowie's coaches whilst managing Crystal Palace & Charlton wasn't thought to have a shot at being given the job with such other people as Terry Venables, Chris Coleman & Glen Hoddle in the running for the job. Whitworth is said to be delighted at being given the job and had this to say:
Quote:
I am very excited after being named as the manager of this fine club and promise to the fans & the board that I will take this club back to where it belongs in Englands top flight. Obviously it's dissapointing for Ian to leave and I have spoken to him and he wished me all the luck.
I understand that the fans will be uneasy that I have been given the job when other well respected and more qualified people could have been given the job, but I will win over the fans and deliver on my promise of attacking, flowing football.
It is understood that Whitworth will have around £3 million to strengthen his squad to help their promotion charge.
With only a month until his first competitve match in charge Whitworth will be looking to get off to a flying start, we will have to wait and see if Whitworth delivers on his promise to the Ricoh Arena faithful.
Championship club Derby County have released a statement on the surprise departure of Billy Davies and the new appoitment this afternoon.
"Unfortunately Billy has been having a few health issues which must come first. Rookie manager Nick French will take control of the club for a year in the hope that Billy can return fresh and fit again."
Ian Payne from Sky Sports News:
Well here is a background on Nick French, he played for Northeast club Blyth Spartans at semi-professional level as a tough centre back and finished his playing days at AFC Wimbledon, He took his coaching badges in the last year and it is reported that the FA thought of him very highly during his badges.
Here are some statistics and predictions for Nick French's Derby County this season.
Media Prediction: 16th
Odds for promotion: 80/1
French is expected to achieve a lower than mid table finish annd should look to build for the future with a lot of the squad aging. It is estimated French will have a mee £100,000 transfer budget.
Guy's i'll be putting the game up around midday-ish tommorrow (12/05) whilst I go out, just incase anyone needs to get the details for their updates and the game should be until about 5pm (just remember not to press continue :thup
Don't forget the next session is Monday (14/05) at the usual itme.
With a 100k kitty working the market was allways going to be difficult. The scouts were working hard and 3 or 4 potential targets were offered but became out of our price range.
£rd choice goalkeeper Lee Grant went to Whitworth's Coventry for 170k. Which funded the 200k of 30 year old Midfielder or Striker David Fernandez from Kilmarnock for 200k to give cover and push for places in midfield and attack.
Loan signings were made priority due to the insecure finances. With Lee Grant leaving Tim Krul was brought in on loan as one of three loan signings from Newcastle as goal keeping cover. Paul Huntington was brought in for cover in the defence and finally from Newcastle Matty Pattison was brought in for left midfield as there is only one lefty. James Vaughn also joined Lupoli to add to the strikeforce.
Players In
David Fernandez from Kilmarnock for 200k
Players Out
Lee Grant to Coventry for 170k
Theo Streete was released
Tim Rasmussen ws releaed
Loans In:
Paul Huntington From Newcastle
Tim Krul From Newcastle
Matty Pattison From Newcastle
James Vaughan from Everton
Various Youngsters were also loaned out to feeder clubs.
Like when any new manager takes control of a football club there it is inevitable that they will have new ideas for players to bring in to complete their objectives. So it was with no surprise that 8 new faces were brought into the club at a combined total of just over 1.7 million pounds.
Lee Grant - Derby County - 170k
With Lee we have bought a relatively young goalkeeper with bags of potential which should help us to reach our goal of promotion.
Nicky Maynard - Crewe - 250k
Nicky was one of my main transfer targets. he has explosive pace ,is a top noch finisher and will only get better with age.
David Norris - Plymouth - 300k
When browsing my squad for the first time there was a gaping hole on the right hand side of midfield , and whilst scouting Paul Wotton I came across Norris who will provide the strikers with crosses with pin-point accuracy.
Ryan Dickinson - Plymouth - 40k
Another transfer from the south coast club, still young and will provide good cover for the left back and on the left side of midfield.
Paul Wotton - Plymouth - 240k
The second of my main summer transfer targets who can play in the centre of midfield or as a centre back, Paul is what I would describe as the 'nearest thing to a complete footballer' that we have in our ranks.
John Potter - St. Mirren - 70k
John will be my rock in the centre of my defence alongside the 'classy' centre back Elliot Ward, bought for a snip of 70k he will dominate most centre forwards in the divsion and also has a good couple of years left yet.
David Vaughan - Crewe - 700k
My most expensive purchase this summer and without an out and out left winger I needed a player who can turn a game in an instant and Vaughany was my first choice and he should create and score some important goals for thsi club.
Giovanni Torre - Portsmouth - Loan
a very talented youngster, who I tried to sign on a pre contract but he re-signed with his current club instead , I went back and loaned him to give him a taste of first team football at Coventry City to try and persuade him to join perminantly (although I doubt he will).
This spending spree meant that I had to decide on a few players future's and sadly the following players went onto pastures new:
Rafa - Released
Don Hutchinson - Southend - Free
With my team in place I began the season with renewed optimism, although my pre-season friendlies indicated that I still had some serious work to do:
Aidrie United : 1-0 Goalscorers: Michael Doyle
Darlington : 2-3 Goalscorers: Elliot ward, Ster John
Weder Bremen: 2-2 Goalscorers: Ben Turner, Michael Doyle
Middlesbrough: 0-1
Partick Thistle: 1-2 Goalscorers: Leon Mckenzie
Nuneaton Borough: 2-1 Goalscorers: Stern John, Kevin Kyle

Managers Comment
Whitworth :Well we have brought in a number of players and every player needs time to settle in and once the players gel i'm sure we'll be right up there competing for the title this season. I belive with the players that we brought in along with the players already established here that we can gain promotion to the Premier League.
