Arsenal started the new month well with a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, but in all fairness it should have been more. Then Arsenal started the group stage with a thoruoghly deserved 2-1 win over Benfica, Henry and Aimar scoring the goals. But then they had to travel all the way back from sunny Portugal to gloomy Wigan as Thierry Henry snatched the winner in the 86th minte at the JJB. Next was against Fulham as Arsenal won thanks to a William Gallas header. In the penultimate game of September Arsenal hammered Lokomotiv Moscow 3-0 all goals scored in the first half. In the final match the gunners strolled past Portsmouth 2-1, Henry and Klose getting a goal a piece.
After the portsmouth game a reporter asked Robert Boyle about the start Arsenal had made to the season. He replied, "we have started the season very well as our defence is solid and Henry, Klose and Drogba have all been firing, with back up from the midfield. Infact everyone has been getting in on the act. We are top of the pile after seven games winning six and drawing one but with all respect to the teams we have already played we will have tougher challenges later in the season. I know I still have not won a trophby at Arsenal and I would love to win some silverware this season even though it will be tougher than ever as Manchester United have signe Kaka and Messi and Chelsea have signed Ramos and Adriano." So although he notes the gunners have made an excellent start to the season he knows they will need to keep it up.

The Devils defeated Stuggart 3-0 in the beginning of the month.Rooney found the back of the net twice and Torres added to the tally. United then defeated rivals Bolton 3-0, with Ronaldo scoring a penalty kick, then Pique and Rooney scoring one goal each.United went to White Hart and defeated the Spurs, with Lucas scoring the only goal of the game.The Devils did a marvelous job crushing Chelsea a Staford Bridge..Kaka, Adu and Lucas scored a goal each.and Jo hit the ball in the back of the net twice.ending the game as a 5-1 win over arch rivals Chelsea. The Champions Cup league game against Juventus ended as a bore 0-0 draw.The Devils then dropped 2 points against West Ham at home

Arsenal had a very poor October. October started badly after a shock 2-1 defeat from West Brom even though Arsenal dominated. Then Arsenal scraped a victory against Red Star with a Didier Drogba goal, who so far has not lived up to his £30 million price tag. But then Arsenal hammerred Cardiff 7-0 with Henry(2), Van Persie(2), Senderos, Walcott and a Filipescu own goal. But then it became bad as Pompey dumped them out of the league cup with a Giovanni Torre brace. And then Reading held Arsenal to a draw despite Arsenal dominating. October ended with a tough 1-0 win in Belgrade against Red Star.

After the Red Star match there was a press conference for Mr. Boyle:

Boyle: Thank you for all coming to this press conference you can ask me any Arsenal related question.

Reporter 1: How have the team taken to being knocked out of the league cup in the third round?

Boyle: Well, obviously after the game we were upset that we did not progress further in the competition but now that our emotions have calmed down we now see that we will havbe more time to focus on the three more important Competitions.

Reporter 2: We have all heard about the £30 million spent on Didier Drogba. Do you think he will be worth it?

Boyle: Now look I know Arsenal fans will be shocked about the amount of money we spent on Didier and at the moment he is not as prolific as he was at Chelsea but give him time we play a lot prettier football than Chelsea with lots of passing whereas Chelsea play a lot of route one. I know Didier will be worth it in the end.

Reprter 3: It was well documented that Claydon, when he bought the club, wanted a new manager such as Lippi. How is your relationship with Lee Claydon?

Boyle: We are great friends profesionally and unprofesionally. I know that he was not to sure about me staying on as manager but the team helped me by getting into the top four and qualifying for Europe and at the moment there is no reason why he should sack me because of results as Arsenal are second in the premiership abnd have qualified for the champions league knock-out rounds.

Reporter 4: The Manchester United game is coming up will the be the normal drama? Pizza and pea soup food fight? A player getting hit by a stray boot?

Boyle I know we are a much better team than Manchester United and will win if we play to our full potential. But will my players disgrace Arsenal football club? NO. I will be very pleased to beat Ray Daniels next week.

October

6 games and 5 wins, the month of October promised much for the Devils. United defeated Sheff. Utd at home with a 2-1 win, Torres and Lucas scored one goal each.The next United victim was Basel, United trampled over them with a 7-0 win, Rooney hit the back of the net 4 times. Adu scored a double and Ronaldo also found the back of the net. The Devils dropped 2 points against Charlton at the Valley the game ended 1-1, Guzman scored the only goal for the Devils. In the League Cup match against Swindon the Devils won 3-0. Rooney scored 2 goals and Jo scored 1.Manchester United's match against Liverpool was a tough match, United dominated most of the game but Liverpool's goalkeeper, Reina kept all the balls out of the goal.But Omar Esparza was able to head one in with 7 minutes left in the game giving United the 1-0 win.United went to Basel's homeground and defeated them 2-1 with Kaka and Torres scoring a goal.


After the Liverpool match Daniels was approached by reporters.


Reporter 1: Wow tense match how do you feel with your victory?

Daniels: Haha you said it, tensed up ofcourse, Reina saved a lot of shots that were obviously going to be a goal, knew the only way the ball will go in the net was to get a close header, and that was what i did and Omar Esparza came through for me.

Reporter 2: Now that you have defeated Chelsea and Liverpool how do you feel about Arsenal?

Daniels:Sad to say Arsenal is a better team than Chelsea and Liverpool, but i know we are better than all 3 of them.


Reporter 3: In Boyle's interview he stated this <pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">"I know we are a much better team than Manchester United and will win if we play to our full potential. Daniels:I'm not going to be brought to insult that immature no trophy winning manager, i'm sorry couldn't help my self. I hope Arsenal are thinking about us.If they do slip up then we have to make sure to take the advantage.We've improved and i'm delighted with the football we're playing. We're in such good form, Arsenal know we're there behind them.
