FA trophy 1st Rd lost to Gravesend after a replay
Fans player of the year - Ange Lourougnon
Top goal scorer - Totti 18
Most games won in row - 3

Most games without losing - 7
Most games without winning - 6

Got 16 players out of contract at the end of the season, which include the likes of Totti, Lourougnon, Oli, Taralidis and Robinson, and 14 backroom staff.
We’ve deduced the debt to around £300k, but it don't helping with the wages as the board have in-forced a cap on wages.
I doubt there will be any new signings barr Paul Swift from Nottingham Forest, but like last season we might re-view it during the winter Window.

We’ve been tipped as one of the fav's to lift the title.
I guess only time will tell

Hayes - A New Beginning

Hayes welcomed aboard a new manager to bring a fresh approach to first team squad, they were absolutely delighted to name Steve Gold as their new manager.

Hayes are currently sitting in 16th in the league and in their last few seasons included finishes of 20th and 21st in the league, something the chairman wanted to change, with 4 games left there is still a left to do to make sure they earn a good enough finish comparing to previous seasons.

Hayes are currently the lowest human controlled team in the Conference South, the challenge is to catch up Margate managed by Knotty!

So of course as things are, no budget, no money, no nothing, just the ball, the pitch, the ref and grinding hard tackles....lets get to the action!

Hayes vs Newport Co

Gold's first game in charge and what a delight for it to be infront of the home fans aswell. So what could be better than playing a first game at home infront of the fans? Well, giving them a win and a goal fest of course! Well, it was exactly what Newport ordered of the Menu, a demolishing debut for Gold in which they actually went a goal down first through Mitchell. But we battled hard and got an equaliser before taking the Newport defence apart and banging in another five goals after that!

Full Time: 6 : 2
Scorers: Robbins (3), Earl, Cornwall, Asafu(P)
MotM: Robbins

Hayes vs Weston Super Mare

After such a great debut how can you follow it up? Well how else, thrash the next team you face! So thats what we did, WSM came for a hiding and thats exactly what they got, three more points and two wins out of two, surely, this cant continue!

Full Time: 3 : 1
Scorers: Palmer(2), Cornwall
MotM: Cotton

Sutton vs Hayes

Talk about taking me down from cloud nine! But a fully deserved win for Sutton, they are 4th in the league and aiming for promotion, they showed it here that they are desperate to get out the league and have got the class to do it!

Full Time: 3 : 0
Scorers: None
MotM: None

Hayes vs Salisbury

The last game of the season and we were so close to pulling of a result here, third place Salisbury needed a win and with a bit of luck and poor defending they got that vital goal they needed to seal the deal. A hard fought game which we should have snatched a point but it wasnt to be, here the summer begins, the build up for the new season awaits.

Full Time: 0 : 1
Scorers: None
MotM: Cotton

So two wins and two defeats, cant complain too much about that, two cracking wins aswell and something we can hopefully build upon towards the new season.

The New Season

The first game of the season is just days away and its anticipation to see who is going to go up and down for this season, Hayes will be aiming to improve the squad and get a mid season placing or better of course.

Unfortunately with the manager also away over pre-season, there was no one to check that his star talents were signed up for next season, unfortunately I received the news too late as I found out my best player Robbins had left us on a free transfer as his contract expired as well as Cottons, two prospects I was looking forward to see play as I knew they would show up a lot of teams in the coming season, so we're going to have to get some replacements in if at all possible!

Transfers

So having lost Robbins and Cotton I did some homework on bringing in some experienced players who could help this squad move up the table this season. All on Free Transfers and with plenty of experience from various leagues, first came former Hearts striker Gary Wales, I'll be hoping he can knock a few goals in. Joining him were Paul Thirwell, former Sunderland defensive midfielder, goalkeeper Jan Budtz who played 3 seasons at Grays for fellow manager Nuke. Last but not least in the summer buys is Hungarian Gyorgy Kiss who had spent 4 seasons at Chesterfield. All players bring in vital experience and skill to a team who lack a lot of both, hopefully I can add a few more faces to the squad before the first game of the season.

The squad seems pretty balanced now but I will certainly need a few more faces to freshen up the look and help us incase of injuries and suspensions that we all know happen throughout the season.

So can Hayes make it! I bloody hope so! Keep tuned for more....

Prescott is related to Stevenage manager Tim Prescott, so it seems that managing skills run in the family.

Steve lashed out at his brother saying that he could take on his team anyday so they are going to have a "friendly" match at the start of next season to see if he was right.

Having remembered what fellow 'manager' Steve Prescott had said about his Stalybridge being able to take on Stevenage he was able to look back and laugh at the spanking that stalybride and its manager will hopefull remember for a long time as Stevenage hammered the badgers 6-0 in a pre-season friendly.

Stalybridge sit in a comfortable 2nd place which could have been 1st if they had a good ass man. Steve would personally like to thank Taav for giving him such a great striker for free. Rhodes has helped the team keep on winning.

Will the badgers be celebrating at the end of the season? It seems like only Burton can stop them.

Stevenage manager Tim Prescott Cant wait for the new season to begin even though his side is set to struggle according to the media who gave his newly promoted side a prediction of 23rd place in league one this season. But despite that Prescott is quietly confident about his sides chances after his board finally allowed him money to allow him to sign a quite a few quality player over the summer like Stephen Bywater, Andy Carroll, Lee Wilkie and a few foreigners that nobody can spell. His aim is still to stay up in Stevenages first ever season at this level but he is hoping that they can prove the critics wrong.

http://www.fm-euc.com/afcwimbledon.PNG

After a highly successfull season afc wimbledon finish 4th after being predicted to finish 24th and be relegated. Robert McDougalls Wimbledon were on top of the league after 10 games shocking everyone and they said it wouldnt last but they managed to grab a play off. Unfortuantly with both the number 1 and 2 keepers inj as well as star midfielder jamie smith and club top goalscorer was suspended for both legs and the same players missed the FA final. Wimbledon were hammerd 4-0 at home by wimbledon and won teh return game 5-4 so lossed out on an 8-5 agg. The misery just kept coming though and they lost out on the fa trophy in the 115th minute when luton scored a goal described by Mcdougall as "A PURE *****'R". But was Mr McDougall sour faced ? Hell No ! Infact he was in a fantastic mood and praised his whole squad for making it so far when predicted to go no were.

Now the current season looms and McDougall has brought in a fine crop of players who he says is capable of taking the title. Only time will tell.
