The first game of Thursday's session saw us play host to Darlington. We dominated this game from start to finish. Unfortunately our strikers had left their shooting boots at home and we drew a blank in a 0-0 draw. We travelled to Rushden next. We played poorly in the first half and fell behind after 22 minutes. We were behind for only 60 seconds before Craddock equalised. Into the second half and it was more of the same. Rushden scored twice mid way through the half to go 3-1 up. Brooker pulled one back in stoppage time to make the final score 3-2, only our second league defeat of the season.

It was Hereford at home next. We were reduced to 10 men after 20 minutes when Mazzola was sent off. Brooker struck on half time to give us the lead. The second half was very even but we managed to hold on to win 1-0. Another home game against Oldham followed. A poor first half was brought to life right on half time when Brooker struck to give us the lead. Craddock doubled our lead at the start of the second half before Pettigrew made it 3-0. We conceded a late goal but held on to win 3-1.

We travelled to Cardiff next. A very even match was decided in our favour when Craddock scored early into the second half to give us a 1-0 win. We were away to Barnet next. We had a shocker and lost 1-0. We looked to bounce back at home to Huddersfield. We had another absolute shocker and lost 2-1 with our goal coming from Thompson.

We looked to get back on track when we travelled to Walsall. We got off to the worst possible start as we conceded inside 60 seconds. Smith equalised on half time. An own goal 10 minutes into the second half gave us the lead. Smith took his second with 15 minutes to go before Fordyce sealed it in stoppage time to complete a fine 4-1 win. We travelled to Stan's MK Dons next. Robson gave us the lead from the spot after 15 minutes. MK Dons turned it around by half time to lead 2-1. Brooker scored 2 quick goals to put us 3-2 up. MK Dons equalised with 2 minutes to go and then scored the winner in stoppage time to win 4-3.

It was home to Peterborough next for us. We returned to form and destroyed them with a double from Brooker and one from Pekhart gave us a 3-0 win. We played host to Torquay next. We had a superb first half and went in 2-0 up thanks to Brooker & Pekhart. We conceded an early goal early into the second half but we held on to win 2-1. This win sealed our return to League One, all that remains is to try and win the title. Another home game followed with Colchester the visitors. A fine second half performance saw us run out 2-0 winners thanks to Brooker & Craddock. This left us in top spot, 4 points clear with 4 games to go.

secure promotion during the last session. We were 4 points clear with 4 games to go, starting away at Chester. A Pekhart hat trick gave us a 3-1 win and on the brink of the title as second placed Northampton lost meaning one more win would do it.

We hosted second placed Northampton next. This meant if we avoided defeat we would win the title. A poor first 45 saw us trail at the interval. Brooker equalised on the hour mark. This was enough for the title, but Pekhart scored a free kick in stoppage time to seal the win and the title.

Our first game as champions was away to Rochdale. We had a shocker and lost 1-0. Our final game was at home to Tranmere. We made a great start when Pekhart fired home another free kick but that was as good as it would get. We lost 2 goals before half time. We had the better of the second half but couldn't find an equaliser and lost 2-1.

This has been a successful and enjoyable season. If we can keep our key players for next season and keep them fit then we should be able to stay in League One and possibly challenge for the play offs.

Our season started away to Southend. We got off to a poor start and found ourselves 2-0 down shortly after half time. Only then did we start to play and create chances. Pekhart pulled one back with 2 minutes to go but it wasn't enough and we lost 2-1. It was another away game next when we faced Cheltenham. We made a flying start with Robson scoring after only 4 minutes. Cheltenahm equalised 30 minutes later before taking the lead just before half time. Brooker equalised just before the hour mark. Both sides had chances to snatch the win, with Cheltenham missing a penalty, but it finished 2-2.

Our first home game of the season was against Blackpool. A brilliant first half saw us go in 3-1 up thanks to Dunn, Pekhart & Brooker. Dunn scored in second of the game with a screamer from long range. Blackpool pulled one back late on to make the final score 4-2 to us. Carlisle were our next visitors. After a poor first half we took the lead at the start of the second when Brooker struck. Carlisle equalised before Dunn restored our lead only for Carlisle to equalise 3 minutes later. Both sides had chances to win it but it finished 2-2.

League Cup duty was next as we hosted Championship Brentford. After a pretty even match we managed to scrape through 3-2 on penalties. Back to league duty as we travelled to Wrexham. We had a shocking first half and went in 2-0 down. We played better in the second half and pulled one back with a Robson penalty in stoppage time to make it 2-1. It was Bristol Rovers at home next. Goals from Craddock & Clifford in the second half sealed a solid 2-0 win. We finished the session with a disappointing defeat at home to Hartlepool in a game we dominated we were hit with a late break away goal to lose 1-0.

A poor start to the season that leaves us in mid table after 7 games.

Monday's session saw us start away to Boston. We played pretty well in this game. Boston took the lead early in the first half. We had several chances after that to equalise but couldn't take them and lost 1-0. Another away game followed at Northampton. We outplayed Northampton from start to finish but somehow managed to lose 2-0. This season is beginning to resemble our last season in League One.

It was League Cup duty and we travelled to face Millwall. We played well again but lost 2-1 with our goal coming from a Robson penalty late on. Back to the league as we hosted Burnely, who were top. A good first half performance saw us go in 1-0 up thanks to Pekhart. Goals from Robson and Brooker in the second half saw us run out deserved 3-0 winners. We looked to build on this when we played Swindon at home. A stunning first half saw us go in 3-0 up thanks to Pekhart, Brooker and an og. We played well in the second half with Brooker scoring his second to make the final score 4-0.

It was away to league leaders Stoke next. This was a very even game with neither side create any clear cut chances. In the end 0-0 was a fair result. We followed this with a 1-1 draw with Stockport with Brooker scoring our goal. Wycombe away was next. This was the classic game of two halves. A fine first half performance saw us go in 2-0 up thanks to Brooker & Bowes. We were awful in the second half as we lost 3 goals to lose 3-2.

We faced Colchester way in the JPT next. We took the lead after 2 minutes with a stunning long range free kick from Robson. That was as good as the first half would get as we lost 3 goals to go in 3-1 down. We pulled one back thanks to an own goal before we lost a 4th late on to make the final score 4-2. We travelled to Crystal Palace next. This was another dismal performance and we lost 3-2 with our goals coming from Brooker.

We looked to get back to winning ways at home to Bristol City. We got off to the worst possible start when Robson scored an own goal. We hit back in impressive style as Gow equalised before a Pekhart double put us 3-1 up at half time. We had another shocking second half performance as we lost 2 goals to end up drawing 3-3. We faced Swansea at home next. We played well in the first half and went in 1-0 up thanks to Fordyce. Swansea had the better of the second half but we managed to hold on for a 1-0 win.

It was FA Cup duty next as we hosted Oxford. After dominating the first half we finally took the lead when Smith scored on half time. Gow added a second shortly after half time. Oxford scored late on to make the final score 2-1. All this left us in 16th place after 17 games, 4 points above the drop zone and 7 from the play offs.

We started Thursday's session away to Rushden. We had a good first half and took the lead after 2 minutes when Brooker struck. We held onto the lead until 10 minutes into the second half when Rushden equalised. We struggled from then on and we were lucky to draw 1-1. We hosted Barnsley next. We dominated this game from start to finish. It took until 15 minutes from time before we broke the deadlock when Fordyce scored. We had further chances to score but had to settle for a 1-0 win.

It was FA Cup duty next as we travelled to Selhurst park to face Palace. We had a really poor first half and went in 2-0 down. The second half was not a lot better and we lost 2-0. Back to the league and we faced Southampton away. We had another really poor first half and went in 2-0 down. We pulled one back thanks to van den Berg before losing a third late on to make the final score 3-1. I decided to try a change of formation when Brighton visited. We played really well in this game, creating plenty of chances but not evening managing to hit the target. That was until van den Berg struck late on to give us a 1-0 win.

It was away to Rotherham next. A solid performance saw us win 1-0 thanks to a late Pekhart goal. We hosted Scuunthorpe next. We took the lead early on thanks to Craddock before Scuunthorpe equalised 20 minutes later. They were reduced to 10 men shortly into the second half but we couldn't take advantage of it and had to settle for a 1-1 draw. It was another home game next when we faced Cheltenham. This was quite possibly the dullest game I have ever seen in FM. Both sides were shocking and were lucky to get nothing each to be honest.

Carlisle away was next. We played really well in this game but lost 1-0 to a stunning first half strike. We put in a stunning performance and won 2-0 thanks to goals from Pekhart and Fordyce. We finished the session at home to Wrexham. After dominating the first half we took the lead with less than 10 minutes to go with Gow scoring after a goalkeeping mistake. It was all Wrexham after this but we somehow managed to hang on and win 1-0. This left us in 14th place after 27 games, 5 points from the play offs and 12 clear of relegation. Hopefully we can kick on next time and make the play offs.

Last season was really non event, never looking like getting promoted or getting relegated finishing mid table which was a very good if not boring season as yet again we where expected to struggle. During the transfer window the board yet again in there infinite wisdom decided to sell one of my 1st choice defenders who was probable my best player of last season for what I would say was a misery amount, but it may not be that bad as I have a few younger defenders who look to be becoming of age, there where a few comings and goings before the start of the season but it was very difficult o bring in many quality signings due to financial restrictions but I did sign a couple of young players who could be good prospects for the future in Patterson a promising forward and Tejera a attacking midfielder who can play anywhere in midfield but is best on the left, I also brought in some experience in Luis Garcia on a short term contract as he is now 34 years old but still looks a quality player, but I was unable to bring in anybody as a midfielder as this is a position I really needed a quality signing but to no avail. So I went it to the start of the season with which looked like a weak centre of midfield and with a lot of forwards so I decided to train David Kearney a forward who can play as a attacking midfielder as a midfielder, looking at his stats he looks to have the attributes he looks as he should be good in that position, and so far this season he has proven my right with a string of good performances.
Moving towards the January transfer window I managed to secure the signing of Marcelo Romero a 22 year old Argentine Left Winger with 27 U21 caps on a free transfer but as he was signed from a team from Argentina I was unable to scout him so I was not 100% sure how good he was but as he got a work permit he must be decent but it was not until January I found out that he looked a bit special a hopefully he may be the player to help us push on in the second half of the season.
We finished the last session with 17 games left and we currently lie in 5th place in the championship on 45 points after 29 games, but being 10 points off automatic promotion and only a couple of points off 7th place we will have to have a good end of the season to secure at least a playoff place.

Monday's session saw us start at home to Southend. We played really well for most of this game, but with our 3 first choice strikers out we were struggling for goals. We paid the price when Southend hit us on the break with 7 minutes remaining. We didn't look like equalising and lost 1-0. We looked to bounce back away to Bristol Rovers. A good first half saw us go in 1-0 up thanks to van den Berg. We managed to survive a very even second half to run out 1-0 winners.

It was back to back home games next with Northampton first up. This was a game of 2 halves. We struggled in the first half and went in 1-0 down. 11 minutes into the second half we were 2-1 up thanks to a Pekhart double. Gow scored with 17 minutes left to make the final score 3-1 a cracking comeback. The second home home game was against Boston United. A good first half saw us go in 1-0 up thanks to Dunn. We cruised through the second half with Fordyce scoring our second to make it 2-0.

We followed this with 3 away games, the first at Burnely. We had a shocker and lost 1-0. We looked to get back on track away to Hartlepool. Another poor performance, not helped by having 2 goalkeepers out injured, saw us lose 1-0 again. It was Swindon away next. This game was exactly the same as the previous two resulting in another 1-0 loss. If we don't halt this terrible run of form we can kiss any hopes of the play offs good bye.

We finished the session at home to second placed Stoke. This game was similar to the last 3 except we lost 2-0 this time. From being 2 points from the play offs 4 straight defeats, coupled with an injury crisis, has all but ended our play off hopes. We now need to make sure we don't get dragged into the relegation scrap.

Thursday's session saw us start with a fine 2-0 win away to Stockport with the goals coming from Robson & a late own goal. IT was home to Wycombe next. We dominated this game from start to finish but some poor finishing resulted in us losing 1-0. We travelled to Swansea next. We made a slow start to this game and paid the price as Swansea scored twice in the first half. We played better in the second half but it was too little too late and we lost 2-0.

It was away to high flying Bristol City next. We played really well in this game and won 1-0 thanks to a stunning Robson free kick mid way through the first half. It was a home game with Rushden next. We took the lead mid way through the first half through Fordyce. We lost 2 goals in 4 minutes in the second half to lose 2-1. We looked to bounce back again at home to Crystal Palace. Pekhart gave us an early lead before 2 goals in 5 minutes before half time saw Palace go in 2-1 up. Brooker levelled on the hour mark before Pekhart scored the winner 8 minutes later to give us a 3-2 win.

Our next game was away to Barnsley. We struggled in this game but thanks to Pekhart we managed to get a point in a 1-1 draw. We hosted league leaders Southampton next. We put up a really good fight and salvaged a point when Brooker scored a screamer from distance to make the final score 1-1. We then played bottom side Brighton away. We battered Brighton from start to finish and somehow managed to lose 1-0. Our last home game of the season was against Rotherham. We raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to a Gow double only to be pegged back before half time. We then lost 2 goals in the second half to lose 4-2. This game just summed up our season, we have thrown away more games than I care to remember from winning positions.

The final game of the season was away to Scuunthorpe. We finished with a 1-1 draw with Gow scoring again. This meant we finished the season in a comfortable 14th place. The squad needs a serious overhaul to challenge for promotion, but with very limited funds this could prove tricky.
