Monday's session started at home to Brentford. Things didn't look good for us in this game as we went 2-0 down early in the second half. Smith pulled one back before Brentford were reduced to 10 men. After this we went for it and Fagan equalised with his first touch after coming on. We pushed hard for a winner but had to settle for a point. We travelled to Huddersfield next. This was a poor game that neither side deserved to win and it finished 0-0.

It was another away day, this time at Forest. We took the lead against the run of play when Gyaki scored on the stroke of half time. Forest equalised at the start if the second half before Grimes restored the lead with 25 minutes to go. It looked like we would hold on for a draw but Forest equalised with 60 seconds to go. Bradford were the visitors as we finally had another home game. We produced a devastating performance. We took the lead when Akinfenwa scored 17 minutes into his debut. Further goals from Yeates, Grimes & Gyaki had us 4-0 up and cruising by half time. The second 45 minutes was a formality with Akinfenwa making it a debut double in the 90th minute. This was one of our best performances of the season so far.

It was Bournemouth away next as we looked to build on our last result. We put in another good performance against a team flying high in the league. Akinfenwa scored what turned out to be the winner after only 8 minutes. This was a very tight game with both sides having few chances, but we managed to hang on to win 1-0.

This has left us in 12th place with 43 points from 31 games. We are 6 points from the play offs & 6 points from relegation in what is a really tight league. The current league tables can be seen on our website, http://hamclan.gillesam.net/.

Thursday saw us start away to Sheff Wednesday. We made a great start with Smith giving us the lead after 4 minutes. However, that was as good as it was going to be. Wednesday had turned it around and went in 2-1 up at half time. We pushed hard for an equaliser in the second half but couldn't find one. Wednesday then scored in stoppage time to make it 3-1. We played host to Wez's Burnely next. We made a flying start again with van den Berg scoring after 5 minutes. We continued to dominate the first half but couldn't increase the lead. 5 minutes into the second half Foxe scored an og to make it 1-1. 15 minutes later Burnely scored again. We threw everything at them for the rest of the game, including the kitchen sink, but once again our strikers couldn't find the net and we lost 2-1.

We played second bottom Blackpool at home next, surely we could turn things around and get a win? Sadly not, we were awful and got what we deserved - nothing. Blackpool cruised to a 3-1 win, our consolation coming from van den Berg. We looked to turn it around away to Southend. We played well in the first half and went in with a 1-0 lead thanks to Yeates. We never turned up for the first half and Southend equalised before the hour mark. Southend battered us for the last half hour but we somehow managed to survive for a point. It was then Steve's Tranmere away. We had the better of the first half and took the lead thanks to Pettigrew which gave us a 1-0 half time lead. Tranmere played much better second half and equalised to make it 1-1 - a fair result.

We returned to Brisbane Road still searching for a win when Cheltenham came calling. This game was settled by half time as we turned in an awesome first half performance. Goals from Echanomi, Foxe & Craddock put us 3-0 up. The second half was pretty much a none event with Cheltenham getting a consolation in the 90th minute to make it 3-1. We travelled league leaders Swansea next. We destroyed them, no other way to describe it. Echanomi opened the scoring before the half hour mark. Echanomi added a second late on before Easton settled it 4 minutes from time to make it 3-0.

Stephen brought his QPR side to our place next. We raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to Echanomi & Craddock. QPR hit back in the second half and went 3-0 up before Echanomi equalised to make it 3-3. A cracking match and probably a fair result. An away game to Notts County was next. This was a pretty dull game with neither side creating much and it finished 0-0. We hosted Oldham next. The first half was a non event. Second half was full of excitement. Echanomi opened the scoring before Akinfenwa scored on his return from injury. Oldham pulled one back before Akinfenwa secured a 3-1 win.

It was high flying Gillingham that were the next visitors. We made a good start with Easton scoring a penalty after 6 minutes. Gillingham equalised 15 minutes later with their first shot on goal. We outplayed them for the rest of the half but couldn't find a winner. That said, the point gained here was enough to keep us up which was the aim at the start of the season - so job done

END OF SEASON REPORT FOR QUEENS PARK RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB.

After joining in January of the 2008/9 season, my first thought upon seeing the team i had been given, my initial thoughts were this team needs a tuning. So i went straight to arsenal reserves and loaned Denilson for the season. Also from arsenal reserves Cedric Evina was another season long loan, and then brought Matthew Conelly for 250k.

I was handed my first loss after 2 games 4-2 to Mk Dons. Upon which i went on a 3 match winning streak eventually drawing with Burnley. My second loss was on 1 game prior to the end of the season against Swansea, who i also lost to in the Johnstones Paint Trophy.

On the final day of the season i was up against Sheffield Wednesday who, like me, were on 68 points and occupying 7th and 8th position with me in the latter. Gillingham had 6th place which was 1 point ahead of me and other hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday had they lost or drew and i won, i would get 6th spot and the chance of promotion, whereas if i drew or lost it would go to Sheffield Wednesday or Gillingham...

...Sheffield Wednesday got the early goal with me retaliating through a Dexter Blackstock volley 3 minutes later. Early into Half time Blackstock gets injured and has to come off, in which brought out Cedric Evina. This proved a bad move in which i thought i should have added to Defence when Stewart let through on loan Sinima Pongolle who took advantage and converted into the Goal which proved to be the winner.

Gillingham had lost. Had i won i would have made promotion but it was snatched by Sheffield Wednesday, who had taken 6th place in which i was only the three points they beat me for off of it, Having to settle for 10th place.

Although i was the highest placed human club it still didnt make up for the loss of promotion.

I eagerly await the second season with Q.P.R as the team have proved they are winners and i feel i am going to take a top 3 finish with them next season.

GARY SCOTT-NOTTM FOREST
The Prodigal son returns, blah blah etc etc. After an absence of a few months the orginal host of the HAM CLAN(1) returns to pit his wits against various individuals of dubious quality(sorry fellas).
I joined 4 games from the end of the 2008/09 season and so had little time to assess the playing staff however we had an amazing amount of injuries and players whos contracts were running out.
After watching the matches I realised that this team were ordinary with very very few stand out players,so a big rebuild is needed.
I only offered a couple of new contracts out to the expring ones and have released all the others,I also recieved a generous 500k bid from MR QPR for one of my players so that has given me a little more money.
With the squad trimmed down,I have placed bids for a number of players and so far my strike force has been given a major overhaul with James Vaughan,Bradley Wright-Phillips and Nathan Delfounese all joining on loan, the last named became a star for me when I played my own game as Aston Villa,so Im hoping he has a similar impact here.lots of other deals are still ongoing but after a slow start for me last night when I was struggling to get back into the swing of things network wise,Im now looking forward to rebuilding this side.

As we were safe and had no chance of the play offs, we started Monday's session by playing a few fringe players to see what they were capable of. We started away to Doncaster. We played well in a poor game, but as has been the case so often this season we could not score. We conceded a penalty on the hour mark which Doncaster scored to win 1-0. It was another away game for us as we travelled to Swindon, where I was serving a touchline ban. This game was almost the same as the last one. Swindon scored the only goal of the game shortly before the hour mark. We will need to find a goal scorer for next season.

The final home game of the season saw us play host to Carlisle. Akinfenwa, returning from injury again, opened the scoring after 19 minutes. We didn't look like conceding until Carlisle equalised 10 minutes into the second half. Smith scored the winner for us with 15 minutes to go. The final game of the season saw us travel to Port Vale. This was a pretty dull game for the first 40 minutes. Then Port Vale took the lead before Mazzola equalised 4 minutes later. The second half was very even, but once again we struggled to score and paid the price when 12 minutes from time Port Vale scored the winner.

All in all a successful season as we managed to stay up by finishing in 14th place.

Last season started well enough and at one point just before Christmas we where 2nd but yet again one session ruined, we went on a run of about 10 games with only one win and there for dropping down to mid table and I cant blame anybody else but myself because after loosing 2 close games in a row I started to tinker with the tactics and formation and I could not buy a win but after I went back to the tactics earlier in the season the results turned around but to late to do anything so at the end of the season we finished 12th 1 place below expected.
We finished the last session a month or so before the new season and so far signed 2 or 3 players, this season I will not be looking to bring in too many faces as we already have a big squad with a lot of young players in the reserves but if there is one area I may have to strengthen is up front as last season only one player got in double figures (Nathan Jarman 20+ goals) with may defender being my 2nd top scorer with 6, so I will try and bring in a top loan striker to partner Nathan Jarman.
My prediction for next season, well hopefully we can get into the playoffs as we have been very close every season.

The summer saw many comings and going with 9 new faces and 7 leaving as well as 2 loan signings. The key signing was Steve Brooker from Bristol City who will hopefully solve our goal scoring problem.

The first game of the season was at home to Brighton. We were awful in the first half and didn't even manage a shot on goal. As a result we went in 1-0 down as Brighton scored on half time. The second half was not a lot better as we failed to create any decent chances and lost 1-0. It was another home game when Brentford visited. We played really poorly in the first half and went in 1-0 behind. The second half started and within minutes we were 2-0 down. We created plenty of chances but it wasn't until stoppage time that we managed to score thanks to van den Berg. It wasn't enough and we lost 2-1.

We went to Doncaster looking to kick start our season. We made a good start to the game and Brooker scored his first goal for the club to put is 1-0 up. The game turned just after the hour mark when Pettigrew conceded a penalty and was sent off. Donny missed the penalty. We held un until 10 minutes from time, then 6 minutes later Miller was sent off leaving us with 9 men. 4 minutes into stoppage time Rovers scored to make it 2-1 and inflict our third consecutive defeat. It was an away day in Southend next. Brooker scored shortly after the half hour mark to put us 1-0 up. With Southend being reduced to 9 men in the second half it meant we were never really troubled and won our first game of the season.

It was League Cup duty next as we played host to Swindon. We played well again with Brooker scoring for the 3rd game in a row to give us a 1-0 lead. It lasted less than 60 seconds before Swindon equalised. We continued to play well into the second half and Bowes gave us the lead on his debut. Swindon had chances to equalise but we managed to hold to make it into round 2. We played host to Wez's Burnely next. This was a dull game that finished 0-0. A fair result.

We travelled to recently relegated Sheffield United next. This was always going to be a tough game as they have a cracking team. We went behind after 5 minutes and I feared the worst. We got a free kick after the half hour mark, Foxe squared it to Magunda who pinged it in from 20 yards out. This meant we went in 1-1. THe second half was the same as the first, all United. Just as it looked like we would steal a point United scored with 2 minutes to go. Then into stoppage time Goncalves popped up to grab an equaliser and make the final score 2-2. This was a real steal but we will take it.

We followed this up with another away day, this time to Stevenage. The first half was very even and finished 1-1 after Easton had given us the lead before Stevenage equalised on half time. It looked like the game was heading for a draw until Stevenage scored with 3 minutes to go to win 2-1. Hartlepool were the visitors in the first of 2 home games in a row. We played really well in the first half and went in 2-0 up thanks to a Craddock double. The second half was more of the same and Easton added a third to make the final score 3-0.

Carlisle were the visitors for the next home game. We played really well again winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from Craddock. An away day to Peterborough in what was a classic game of two halves. We were awful in the first half and we were lucky to be only 1-0 down. We were a different team in the second half. Holmes equalised 10 minutes into the half before Craddock put us into the lead 5 minutes later. An Easton penalty and a second for Craddock made the final score 4-1, a fantastic comeback.

We had a break from league duty as we travelled to Aston Villa in the League Cup. As expected Villa had all of the first half but couldn't find a goal while we couldn't find their half. 6 minutes into the second half Brooker gave us the lead. Villa continued to throw everything forward. Then Craddock scored with 13 minutes to go to give us a famous 2-0 win. A special mention to David Knight in goals who was outstanding in a man of the match display.

Back to league duty with Notts County at home. We played well again and won 2-0 thanks to goals in each half from Craddock. We travelled to QPR next. This was a very tight game between 2 evenly matched sides. Brooker scored the winner just after the hour mark to keep our good run going. Tranmere were the next visitors to Brisbane Road. We started this game slowly and went behind to an early goal. van den Berg equalised shortly before half time. The second half was pretty even with neither side able to find a winner, final score 1-1.

It was away to league leaders Swindon next. We had an absolute shocker and got hammered 3-0. A disappointing end to the session but a good start to the season. We are currently 10th after 14 games, 3 points from the play offs.

My team are consistent I will say that much but just too mnay draws are hindering our progress. Some notable happenings last night were a great fightback(one of many) against Wez`s Burnley side, who caused me a lot of problems in the first half but after the break we dominated and managed to secure a point with a 93rd minute equalizer.
Also Mark Howarth who I brought in from Bolton on loan kept goal superbly for his first two games and kept clean sheets in both but after that he was giving me the impression that a lot of goals were down to him until the fateful last game of the evening against Tranmere, whos manager had unfortunately signed off before we played.after taking an early lead we found ourselves 3-1 down after just 20 mins and my keeper had a rating of just `4`,I therefore made the decision to replace him straight away and although we improved we still went 4-1 down with just 30 minutes to go,with nothing to lose I went 3-4-3 and all out attack and the game became very very stretched with 15 to go we made it 4-2,then with just 5 mins left we reduced the defecit again, incredibly in the 90th minute we had levelled and to cap it all we got the winner in injury time.absolutely amazing stuff and Im hoping we can kick on after that fightback.
