Monday's session saw us start away to Birmingham. We fell behind shortly into the second half. I made some changes with about half an hour left. Humes equalised within 10 minutes of coming on. He then scored again to make it 2-1 10 minutes later. We held on for a 2-1 win. Sunderland visited next. We fell behind to a penalty after 10 minutes. We then played Sunderland off the park for the remaining 80 minutes. We created plenty of great chances but the Sunderland keeper was in inspired form and we lost 1-0.

We looked to bounce back at home to Shrewsbury. Pekhart gave us the lead with a trademark free kick. It looked like this would be enough to give us the win until Jackson scored an own goal late on to make the final score 1-1. Palace away followed. This was a poor performance where we struggled against 10 men for most of the game. We couldn't find away through and it finished 0-0.

We looked to get back to winning ways at home to Norwich. We produced a stunning first half and went in 4-1 up with 2 from Bamba & 2 from Swan. Northampton away was next. We played really well in this game and won it 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Jones. Another away game followed as we travelled to Hull, and we were missing 4 or 5 first team players. We struggled in this match and lost 1-0. Wigan were the visitors as we looked to bounce back. We played well in this game but couldn't find away past the opposition keeper and had to settle for a 0-0.

Sheffield United were next to visit. We played reasonably well in this game but our injury problems were starting to catch us up and we lost 2-0. Bradford away followed. We went 2-0 up thanks to Jones & Smid. That was as good as it would get. We conceded 2 before half time and 1 after it to lose 3-2. A 1-1 draw at home to Stoke followed with Pekhart getting our goal.

We had a break from the league as we travelled to Bolton in the FA Cup. Smid gave us a lead that lasted 3 minutes before Bolton equalised. Bolton took the lead with 25 minutes to go. Bamba equalised and earned us a reply 10 minutes later making the final score 2-2. It was Wolves away next. We were awful in this game and were lucky to get a point thanks to a goal from Humes in a 1-1 draw.

Our FA Cup replay was next as Bolton came calling. Bamba gave us the lead after 5 minutes. Bolton scored twice in 7 minutes to go 2-1 up. Pekhart equalised 60 seconds later. The rest of the game was very even with both sides having chances to win and it went to penalties. We lost 2-1 after one of the poorest penalty shoot outs I have seen in FM. We had back to back home games starting with Bristol Rovers. We had a shocking first half and went in 2-0 down. Goals from Francois & Swan brought us level only to concede in stoppage time and lose 3-2.

We finished Monday's session at home to Leicester. We had the better of a tight game but couldn't find a goal and had to settle for another draw. This left us in 10th place, 3 points from the play offs with 15 games to.

Hopefully today's session will be the last as there are only 15 games left to our last season on FM 2007 before we move over to FM 2008, and it cant come soon enough as my Man City side are closer to relegation than they are to promotion which was a minimum for this season. I brought the bad results onto myself as at the start of the season I played every game very aggressively and when I started to lose a few game I started changing formations almost every game so we lost more game there for all my players started to lose confident and that is the hardest thing to get back. So for the last game of the session I went back to a normal 4-4-2 and I went well as we won against a decent team away from home, so I will keep it simple for the last 15 games and will see what happens.

If I looking back (even though I have had a bad last season) on the previous 12 or 13 seasons I feel I have done quite well, I took Yeovil (who was expected to get relegated from League 1 at the start) to the Premiership then took Man City to the Premiership (even though they where in the relegation spots in the Championship when I took over) and kept them there for a additional season when I was expected to finish dead last, in fact in all the seasons we completed I think I finished above what was expected of me and the only times I got relegated was from the Premiership. So all in all a good career but hopefully I will do better in our new game.

Yesterday evening we finished our FM07 clan game. In my final season as Bristol City we started the season by totally overhauling my squad. It worked extremely well and we challenged for the league all season, however eventually fell away in the last few matches to finish 2nd.

Many thanks go to Al,Harrop and CK who haven't missed a session since I joined. It's been a lot of fun and I can't wait for the SPL challenge.

Thursday was the last session of the FM 07 clan. We started away to Harrop's Man City. We were totally outclassed in this game. Man City ran out 3-2 winners with Hunt scoring both of our goals. Hartlepool away followed. We played poorly again and lost 1-0 with Saunders getting sent off. We looked to get back to winning ways at home to Derby. We had a terrible first half and went in 3-0 down. Hunt & Pekhart pulled 2 but it wasn't enough and we lost 3-2.

We travelled to Yeovil still looking for a win. We played better but lost 1-0. Barnsley at home followed. We played better, not helped by being a man down for 84 minutes, but couldn't find a winner and had to settle for a 0-0 draw. Sheffield Wednesday away was next. This was a game where the defences didn't bother too turn up. We lost 4-3 with Pekhart, Smid & Hunt getting our goals. Leeds at home followed. We played better in this game but couldn't find a goal and drew 0-0.

We continued searching for a win when Birmingham came to visit. Despite taking the lead through Porritt we lost again, 2-1 this time. Sunderland away was next up. Goals from Bamba and 2 from Hunt saw us record our first win in ages as we ran out 3-1 winners. We looked to build on this away at Stevenage. Unfortunately it was a return to losing as we lost 2-1, Pekhart getting our consolation. A home game with Sawnsea followed. Goals from Hunt and Porritt saw us run out comfortable 2-0 winners.

We travelled to Shrewsbury as we looked to finish the season ahead of Harrop's Man City. We twice fell behind but an own goal and a stoppage time strike from Francois rescued a point in a 2-2 draw. It was Crystal Palace at home next. Goals from Moore & Francois gave us a 2-0 win. Our second last game was away to Norwich. We produced a terrible performance and were soundly beaten 4-0.

Our final game was at home against bottom placed Northampton. Pekhart opened the scoring with a screamer from 25 yards after 2 minutes. Northampton equalised 10 minutes later. Hunt restored our lead 10 minutes into the second half before sealing the win with 2 minutes to go making the final score 3-1.This meant we finished the season, and the game, in 15th place. Not a bad season but not quite what I was hoping for.

This has been a good clan game for me. I won League Two twice with Leyton Orient, although I did get them relegated twice, and the JPT once. My best achievement was back to back promotions with QPR from League Two to the Championship, although we couldn't quite make the final step to the Premiership. We seemed to go through a lot of managers in this game, hopefully our new game will see a more stable line up.

We will be starting our new game on Monday 29th October in the SPL, excluding the Old Firm. Keep up to date by visiting our website - http://hamclan.gillesam.net/
