Thursday's session started with back to back away games with Stoke first. We started poorly and lost an early goal. It was very even from there on until we lost a goal with 8 minutes left. Sedlacek, on loan from Harrop's Man City, pulled one back in stoppage time to make the final score 2-1. We travelled to Portsmouth next. 2 goals in the space of 60 seconds settled this game. Pekhart gave us the lead only for Pompey to equalise straight away. Both sides had chances to win but had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Notts Forest at home was next. After a fairly quiet first half we came to life after half time. Moussa gave us the lead before Pekhart doubled our lead. Brown added a 3rd before Pekhart put us 4-0 up. Forest pulled one back in stoppage time but we ran out 4-1 winners. It was League Cup next as we hosted Plymouth. Plymouth were the better side before Pekhart scored 10 minutes before half time.Things remained tight until Saunders scored with 6 minutes to go to make the final score 2-0.

Back to league duty as we hosted Derby. We dominated the first half but couldn't find a goal. Derby took the lead against the run of play on the hour mark. Williams equalised 7 minutes later. We had chances to win it but we had to settle for a 1-1 draw. It was away to Yeovil next. We played really well in the first half and went in 2-0 up thanks to Pekhart and Elliott. Yeovil pulled one back just before the hour mark. It looked like we would hold on until Yeovil equalised in stoppage time to make the final score 2-2.

Sunderland away was next. We had a shocker in this game and went down 5-2 with our goals coming from McEveley & Sedlacek. We looked to bounce back at home to Norwich. We went 2-0 down after Pitt managed to score 2 own goals!! A double from Hunt had us back on level terms before half time. Goals from Elliott and Brown before we collapsed. Norwich scored twice to make the final score 4-4.

Leicester away was next. We went behind after 2 minutes. Hunt equalised on the half hour to make it 1-1 at half time. Williams scored on the hour mark to give us a well deserved 2-1 win. We looked to build on this at home to Swindon. We dominated the first half and went in 1-0 up thanks to Pekhart. Into the second half Pekhart grabbed his second on the hour mark. A goal from Brown made it 3-0 before Pekhart completed his hat trick to make the final score 4-0.

It was League Cup duty next as we travelled to Premiership Bolton. We played really well in the first half and Brown gave us the lead after 25 minutes. Bolton equalised just before half time. Bolton scored the winner with 20 minutes to go to win 2-1. This was a good effort against a Premiership side and shows how far we have come since I took over. The final game of the season was at home to Hartlepool. 2 goals in 5 minutes after the half hour mark from Pekhart & Elliott put us 2-0 up before Hartlepool pulled one back on half time. It stayed like that until 3 minutes from time when Pekhart fired home a free kick to give us a 3-1 win. Another good session as we continued our fantastic start to the season as we are top after 15 games.

Thursdays session was very poor we started on 1 point off 3 games and by the end we where on 5 points off 10 games but we did play Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in consecutive games. The 2nd to last games of the session was a bit of a weird result as we beat Charlton 5nil. Near the start of the session we bolstered the attack with a young English striker called Heath who looks promising and should be pushing my 1st choice strikers, just as O'Hare had done as at the start of the season I saw him as 3rd choice but after Adriano got injured he finished Thursdays session scoring 6 goals in 5 games with a 8+ average rating, and at the beginning of Mondays session O'Hare carried on from where he left off scoring 2 more in as many games but he was then injured on international duty and out for 4 months which was a massive blow as he was on fire in front of goal but this would give the others a chance to shine.

Mondays session was allot better we started to out play teams and win games but these where all at home we played ok away but never picked up any points but our home form made up for it as we won maybe 5 out of 6 at home but maybe only 1 away but with 6 wins in 10 games we have moved up from 2nd from bottom about 6 points off safety up to 16th a few points above relegation and with a plus goal difference finishing the session with 23 points from 20 games, this may not sound great but after a terrible starts its a good recovery, 18 points from 10 games is more like UEFA cup chasing form and if anything we could have had more. So far my main disappointment has been Adriano as on paper he looks my best forward but now even with O'Hare injured he finds himself on the bench with Heath and Robertson in front of him both of whom have been playing well and if he doesn't start to show some improvement he may have to go.

We finished the session just before the January transfer window and even though we are currently near the bottom of the league I feel if we carry on the form of recent games we will be comfortable by the end of the season, and as for transfers I may try to bring in 1 maybe 2 players in but only if they are better that I currently have.

We started Monday's session away to Wigan. We dominated this game from start to finish but it took until the 92nd minute for us to break the deadlock, when Sedlacek scored to secure a 1-0 win. We travelled to Leeds next. We played poorly and lost 3-2 with Brown scoring both our goals. We hosted Sheff Wednesday next with half of our team on international duty. We made the worst possible start as we went behind after 20 seconds. With so many players missing never got started and conceded a goal in the second half to lose 2-0.

It was away to Burnley next. We played well for long periods of this game but lost 1-0. We faced Birmingham at home after this looking to get back on track. We struggled again but didn't conceded and had to settle for a point in a dull 0-0. We travelled to CK's Crystal Palace next. We had another shocker and were soundly beaten 3-0. We are in danger of undoing our good start to the season.

We hosted league leaders Watford next.We played much better in this game. Both sides created enough chances to win it but neither could take any and had to settle for a 0-0 draw. An away day to Hull followed. We were awful yet again and lost 2-0. We looked to return to winning ways at home to Wolves. We played better in this game and scored our first goal for ages. McEvely scored just before the hour mark to give us a 1-0 win. We looked to build on this away to Shrewsbury.

We dominated this game from start to finish. Our best chance to score was when we were awarded a penalty shortly after half time. Unfortunately Pekhart missed. We had chances to score after this but had to settle for another 0-0 draw. We finished the session away at Bradford. We lost this game 1-0 although we deserved something from the game. This was a terrible session and saw us slip from 1st to 9th with the worst run of form since I took the QPR job.

Thursday's session started with a visit from Middlesbrough as I served a touchline ban. After a fairly even game we took the lead on the hour mark thanks to Hunt. We had the best of the last half hour and a strike from Elliott in stoppage time sealed a 2-0 win. Swansea away followed. We fell behind with 15 minutes remaining. Sedlacek finished a really good move in stoppage time to salvage a 1-1 draw. We probably did enough to win this game but it wasn't to be.

We travelled to West Brom in the FA Cup next. We made a dream start when Pekhart scored after 3 minutes. West Brom hit back and were 2-1 up at the break. West Brom scored again on the hour mark before Pekhart pulled one back a few minutes later. We had chances to grab an equaliser but couldn't take them and we lost 3-2. Back to back home games followed starting with Yeovil. We took the lead through our new loan signing Guzman. Yeovil equalised before Guzman scored again to make it 2-1 at half time. Yeovil equalised again with about 20 minutes left. Lockwood then missed a penalty before an o.g. in stoppage time gave us a 3-2 win.

The second of our back to back home games was against Stoke. We raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Elliott, Pekhart & Smid. Stoke pulled one back with 20 minutes to go and then an o.g. brought them within 1 with 5 minutes to go. We managed to hold on for a 3-2 win. Nottingham Forest away followed. We were poor in this game but managed to keep a sheet and draw 0-0. Pompey at home was next up. Smid was sent off after 20 minutes and we were always up against it from there on. Pompey scored just before half time. We had chances in the second half but couldn't take them and lost 1-0. This was a much better session than Monday's and we still have an outside chance of automatic promotion.

We started Monday's session away at Derby. We played really well against Derby creating loads of chances. We had a goal ruled out for offside before Brown scored a stunning own goal for Derby with 2 minutes remaining and we lost 1-0. We looked to bounce back at home to Sunderland. We struggled in this game but took the lead thanks to Guzman. It looked like we would hold on until Sunderland scored in stoppage time to make the final score 1-1. We travelled to Norwich next. We produced a terrible performance and got hammered 4-0.

We looked to get back to winning ways at home to Leicester. A much better 45 minutes saw us go in 2-0 up thanks to a Brown double. Our second half performance was as bad as our first half was good and we conceded twice to draw 2-2. Swindon away followed. We struggled for long periods of this game but a Pekhart strike 3 minutes from time gave us a 1-0 win. We hosted Leeds next. This was a tight game but a late goal from Leeds was enough for us to lose 1-0.

Wigan at home followed. We played well but still managed to lose 1-0 with Elliott getting sent off in stoppage time. Sheffield Wednesday away followed. We destroyed Wednesday but somehow managed to lose 3-1, with Guzman grabbing our consolation. We continued our search for a win away at Hartlepool. We played poorly again with Pitt conceding a penalty and getting sent off. Hartlepool converted the penalty and won 1-0.

Burnley were next to visit. We produced a simply stunning performance. We took the lead when Jones, one of our promising youngsters, scored on his debut. Hviid doubled our advantage before half time. Hunt added a third with 8 minutes remaining before Jones scored his second to make the final score 4-0. A visit to Birmingham followed. Sedlacek gave us the lead with 6 minutes remaining only for us to be pegged back 2 minutes later. 60 seconds later Sedlacek scored again to get us a 2-1 win.

Crystal Palace were our next visitors. We played poorly but a goal from Sedlacek salvaged a point. This left us in 9th place with 2 games to go. We have an outside chance of the play offs as we need to make up 5 points in the remaining games.

I'm managing Blackburn in League one, When I took over a couple of sessions ago the sqaud was on the verge of relegation and in my first session we couldn't win, score, however we couldn't either so we were getting lots of 0-0 draws. Last Thursday's session saw the team get slightly better and several new faces arrive during the transfer window. On Monday we moved from 18th at the start of the session up to 8th five ponts off the playoffs with five to play and a game in hand. However what was a really good season came to crashing halt at the end of the session when we lost 2-1 to Stevenage. It will be hard to reach the playoffs now, but you never know and in tonight's session we should hopefully achieve it.

A whole season has past since my last post and it has been rather a hectioc one at that.

It all seemed to be going well when after 7 matches we found ourselves top of League 1. However after 2 inconsistent sessions, including a period where I had two injured keepers and a suspended one, and one awful one the close nature of league one meant we had slid to 19th place. At this point the board issued a vote of confience but I knew what was coming when i lost the next match 6-0 to Accrington and I was fired. I spent the next couple of weeks looking for a new job but it didn't come so I added myself back as Bristol City manager.

As Bristol City manager the expectations were enormous. The team were lying bottom of league 1 despite a media prediction of 3rd. When I arrived I was shocked at how small and poor the squad was. My first session in charge saw me not loosing a single game but only winning two with about 8 or 9 draws. The team were still on the edge of the relegation zone so the board were already considering my position as manager.
Despite a good start to Thursday nights session it went downhill from there and despite my best efforts the team were relegated. I was extremely close to being fired again but after making a board request I was granted extra time to rebuild the squad. I plan to oversee an almost total clearout of the squad over the summer. I have already sold most of my squad and signed six players. I also have a number of players from premiership clubs reserve and under 18 sides that I plan to get on a season long loan. They will be needed if we are to realise our expectation of winning league two.

We finished the season in 18th position meaning we got relegated even though we accumulated 40 points. It was disappointing getting relegated especially as we managed to get to the 40 point marker, but this could make for a very exciting last season of the 2007 clan as we have allot of very good young players who should shine in the championship. So far during the off season I have sold a few players for big money - O'Hare for 21mil and Andre for 16mil where the biggest but there was also 1 or 2 others for 5mil+ and all these where sold before the window officially opened (1st July) so there maybe a few more if a big enough fee comes in even though money is not really a problem as the board have given me 60mil+ to spend, but I cant really see me signing to many players as even though I have sold allot of my better players this will give the chance to my young fringe players who I have wanted to play for a while but I felt they where to inexperienced for the Premiership. To next (and the last) season my media prediction is 3rd but I expect to do at least 1 better than that as I want to finish as a Premiership side again.

Thursday's session saw us needing to win our last t20 games to have any chance of making the play offs. The first of these games was away to Watford who are top of the league. We were outplayed from start to finish in this game. Watford ran out comfortable 4-1 winners, with Masaryk getting our consolation with a peach of a free kick. The final game of the season was at home to Shrewsbury. As this game was now meaningless I decided to play some of our fringe players. Goals from McGonigle & Jones saw us finish the season with a 2-0 win.

This meant we finished in 12th place. I would have taken this at the start of the season but at the turn of the year it looked like we would challenge for promotion. We will hopefully be able to mount a challenge for promotion in what will hopefully be the last season of our FM 07 game.

We made a several of signings in an attempt to make the squad capable of sustaining a season long title challenge. We started at home to Hull. Porritt gave us the lead on his debut only for Hull to equalise before half time. Pekhart restored our lead with 30 minutes to go. Hull equalised with 10 minutes to go with a controversial goal that should have been ruled out for offside.

It was Sheffield United away next. We were outclassed for most of this game, but a stunning strike from Bamba with 20 minutes left gave us a 1-0 win. We hosted Bradford after that. This was the opposite of the previous game as we dominated this game from start to finish but lost 1-0. We travelled to Wigan next. This was a very even game that was settled 1-0 in Wigan's favour by a shocking mistake by our keeper.

It was League Cup duty next as we travelled to Walsall. We fell behind early on before Jones & Swan, with his forest for the club, turned it round before half time. We controlled the second half and should have won by more than 2-1. Back to the league as we travelled to Stoke. This was another tight game and it looked like it was heading for a 0-0 draw. Then with 5 minutes remaining Humes popped up to give us a 1-0 win.

Our first home game for a few weeks was against Wolves. We produced a stunning first half performance and went in 3-0 up thanks to Swan and a Pekhart double. We cruised through the second half to win 3-0. We finished Monday's session away to Bristol Rovers. This was another tight game that finished level in a 1-1 draw with Swan getting our goal. We have made a solid if unspectacular start to the season.

We started Thursday's session at home to Hartlepool. We dominated the first half but only had a Swan penalty to show for it. This came back to haunt us in the second half as Hartlepool found an equaliser with 15 minutes to go. We had chances to go back in front but couldn't take them. Derby away followed. This was more or less a repeat of the previous game as we dominated it. In the end we had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Pekhart scoring for us.It was League Cup duty next as we travelled to Bournemouth. We produced a truly awful performance and lost 1-0 in the 120th minute. To be honest we were lucky to get nil!!

We looked to bounce back away to Leicester. We played well in the first half and went in 1-0 up thanks to Swan. We were really poor in the second half with Leicester scoring twice to win 2-1. We played host to Harrop's Man City next. A very even first half saw us go in 1-0 up thanks to a cracking strike from Swan. The second half was very even and our win was sealed in stoppage time when Humes made it 2-0.

After a break for internationals we hosted Yeovil. A Pekhart strike in the first half was enough to give us a 1-0 win. It was away to Barnsley next. Francois gave us a 1-0 first half lead. Barnsley scored twice to take the lead. Francois equalised before Smid scored the winner with 5 minutes to go, making it 3-2. Sheffield Wednesday were our next visitors. We could only manage a 1-0 win with Saunders equalising in the second half.

Leeds away followed. We turned in a poor performance and were hammered 3-0. Stevenage at home followed. We played really well in this game but only had a solitary goal from JOnes to show for it as we won 1-0. Swansea away was next. We were brilliant in this game running out 3-0 winners thanks to a Swann double and 1 from Elliott. This left us in 6th place after 17 games, 7 points from top spot.
