Default The FM Sleeping Giants Challenge

Hi guys,

I'm having incredible fun with the Monaco game I've had and I thought that with how I've done things so far then I thought I decide to issue an open challenge to anyone who can do this.

You will need to cheat in this but instead of going overboard with players that don't usually come to said club, you will be doing the following:

Use FM Scout and FM Modifer, they will be most useful for you if you want to identify key players and fish out the ones that suck.

Use the updated FM Weegie

Going for realistic targets, scout the regions that you can go for in your area and take advantage of each league's special immunities. ((AKA If you go for a French team... Look deep into Africa and for EU national players)).

You can't play any side that is established as a top tier side aka no Liverpool, Arsenal, Barca, R Madrid, Milan, Inter, Lyon etc but you can play Mid table sides and major Southern and Eastern European sides that are not normally expected to compete... you can't use any side that was relegated from the weegie update so no Nantes for those that want to go for French league.

You can't buy more than 50 players during the first transfer window and 10 players during the winter window... this is mainly because you need to buff up the reserves so you can have a decent backup oh and free transfers will be your friend.

When a seasons end and the window opens again then your only allowed to buy players... TO REPLACE the ones that are deemed surplus to requirements and retiring.

Also you are to use 2 tactics overall... 1 for home and 1 for away, now I'm not saying which tactic to use BUT you are to find your own which work out.

The aim is to see HOW many trophies that you win in 5 seasons.

Yeah but the thing is tho is that most top players don't want to join your club so the job is to find the ones that are realistic which means taking advantage of all your resources and your scouts.

I'd have to agree. Not at all well thought out, and encourages cheating.

And the title is misleading, you say you can't play top-tier sides but everyone else. That doesn't make it a sleeping giant challenge, but a trophy challenge.

Sleeping giants are people like Notts Forest, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and to a lesser extent Leeds. Because they're more like coma-induced giants :p
