Default My silly little Asian challenge

First of all, I will admit that I don't foresee an avalanche of interest here, mainly because of the leagues involved, but since I am interested I thought maybe there'd be one or two others who are as well.

I've tried Dafuge's, I've tried Gundo's (in seemingly every country possible) and failed miserably and after each failure I've found myself going back to the same savegame, taking place in Hong Kong of all places. That being my most favored savegame in this iteration of FM I've decided it's time to restart it...In challenge form.

Goal
Manage a team from one of the "undeveloped" Asian nations to a continental championship.

Rules
Begin a new game loading one or more of the "undeveloped" Asian nations (Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore). I've chosen to run only Hong Kong, but feel free to run all six or any combination of your choosing.

Choose a club (I used the randomizer and am with Tai Po), no restrictions here, just make sure your manager experience is set to automatic.

You're ready to go. Take your team to the finals of the ACL, what's so hard about that? Of course, since these are all "undeveloped" footballing nations they don't qualify for the ACL. Win you league and you gain entrance into the Asian Confederations Cup, the only way into the ACL is to enter as defending champion of the ACC. So completion of the challenge will require winning two continental competitions in successive years.

A couple miscellaneous rules:

-Stay at your club. If you get sacked then of course you can take over someplace new, but no resigning, you're stuck where you are until you win or get sacked.

-International management is fine if you feel like you want it.

-Follow LLM rules for new signings. In short, only sign players that you can, and have, scouted (just a hint, stay away from DPMM in Malaysia as they are based in Brunei but you'll only be able to scout in Malaysia, therefore your scouts will find nothing but foreigners).

Thread rules
Should anyone choose to give this a shot, the thread will be pretty much an open discussion. Tactics, player names, etc are welcome as are screenshots of all kinds (hey, who doesn't want to brag about progress, or in my case failure).

I tend to play the game at a glacial pace, but Hong Kong is a quick league, so I'll keep the thread updated as my game warrants.

I might actually give this a shot at some point. Remember doing a challenge in FM05 or 06 which gave me a team in Malaysia and i thought it was quite decent.

I tried using Woodlands once (my home town club). Managed to win Singapore Cup (first trophy in their history incredibly), which qualifed me for the ACC.

Looking to have another go again soon.

Nothing wrong with DPMM, it just makes the challenge about 10 times harder since Malaysian players count as foreigners iirc from when I tried them before.

Oh, in the Singapore League, don't take the 'foreign' teams or the Young Lions. They cannot qualify for continental competition.

For your info, patch 7.0's foreign team is Sporting Afrique (you can't take the Japanese side anyway). Patch 7.02's is Liaoning and Korean Super Reds.
