Meanwhile:
After 12 games Scotland have progressed to third place in the WSD, but are under constant pressure from Greece in fourth place. They are six points off top spot held by Cameroon, who are four points clear of the nearest team Eire.
Since tasting victory against Brazil, Scotland have won thre games of six, drawing two, and losing one.
Ian Murray inspired Scotland to a 1-0 victory over Denmark. Shaun Maloney scored the only goal on 55 minutes. Manager Richard Tait was said to be "concerned with the amount of wasted oppurtunities, yet pleased nonetheless"
Craig Gordon kept Scotland in this game, with a number of dramatic saves during the 0-0 draw. When warned about his perfomances by his manager, midfielder Darren Flatcher spoke of his disappointment of his own performance and vowed to improve his performance in the next game.
Fletcher stuck to his promise, and came good with a terrific performace, that was bettered only by Craig Gordon in the Scotland goal, during their 1-0 away win versus Colombia . Fletcher scored after 13 minutes to open the scoring, and scored again but it was disallowed for offside. Richard Tait said it was is side's defending that won them the match.
Samuel Eto'o scored a fabulous hattrick to sink Scotland at Hampden. Scotland were subject to a marvellous combeck which seen Cameroon come from 2-0 down to eventually win 4-2. However, Scotland had scored another goal when the scoreline was still 2-1 to them, but it was ruled offside. Replays showed the descision was incorrect. Scotland Manager Richard Tait was said to be furious with the decision, but pleased by the Scotland effort. Kenny Miller and John Kennedy were on target for Scotland.
Scotland responded to South Korea manager Km Hak-Bum by thumping the Koreans 3-0. Shaun Maloney scored a brace, and Miller also netted to secure victory. Maloney won man of the match for his effort. Richard Tait said afterwards that Kim Hak-Bum would do well to not taunt until after that match was finished.
Scotland's Greek counterparts will feel aggrieved following their 1-1 draw at Hampden. Greece played well before taking the lead on 54 minutes. Scotland were slow to react, and it took a magical free-kick from captain Barry Ferguson for Scotland to gain something. Greek captain Efstathios Tavlaridis won the man of the match.
Alan Gow scored a brace, and Maloney scored his tenth of the season as Scotland overcame a plucky Switzerland at St. Jakobspark. Kevn McCann impressed on his first full debut.
Ivory Coast away next for Scotland in the International Shield Quarter Final, a match they will hope to surprise the Africans.
