you should rethink that. MLS is great fun to manage in, the reps are high enough that a lot of south americans will come and play for you and the the USA regens have been tweaked so that some great talent does come through the drafts.

Don't discount it, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Quick Update.

I just beat Wigan 10-1 at home. Wesley Sneijder scored 6! It's unbelievable.

What bugs me is they still managed to score 1 though.

I think I'd have prefered a 1-0 win.

End of 06: update

Went 1-8-1, failed to avoid relegation (Finished 20th w/30 points). Got a contract extension but was immediately fired. Now waiting for another job in another nation.

Fuming With Anger while simultaneously ****ed that I let this game bother me so much Update

I won't do my full season update here. Just the last game. Situation is thus, going into the 86th mintue of our last game away to Gretna. They've had a man sent of in the 61st minute and the game is tied 1-1. A win will push me top on goal difference over Inverness CT and we can taste the Cup.

Here's what happens...

gyaaaah! I couldn't believe this. I lost my mind. Gray has been sold and we are still in Division 1 for another season.

After calming down I mad some good buys which I will outline later and I feel better about next season, but what a gut wrenching way to lose out. The worst part is, I thinK i would have won outright if they hadn't had a man sent off, they palyed much better down a man.

So a couple of days has past and ive decided the brazilian league just isnt for me. We slipped from second to 6th and i couldnt buy a win so i resigned with my tail between my legs rushing back to Europe.

So i applied for the first semi decent job in Europe the french 2nd division side Real Sporting and my 3/4 of a season to drag them out of relegation. A young squad with potential but a defence worse than my local pub team. First job bring in defenders mainly on loan or free transfers but to begin with i had my first game with a team left for me by a moanager who didnt know a good defence if it smacked him in the ***.
Results 3-2 against fellow relegation zoners Almeria (who are predicted 11th) and a good effort from my team as we clawed back from two nil down to get beat by a late free kick. And a late onslaught from Sporting to no avail.

So onto the next game and hopefully my new defenders will be here to join the bandwagon to success.

Unfortuately nothing won yet but hopefully the future will be bright and maybe ill make a return to Brazil later in my career.

In other news, after the 2010 world cup I have been apointed manager of Scotland. :thup:

should help raise my profile, and we are only expected to "perform well in Euro qualifiers" so I should get some good experience.

Yeah neilez2 i did resign then get a job in french 2nd division at a prety good team. Check them out Real Sporting. And sorry to rub it in but it was pretty much straight away good luck Neilez2.

neilez2 maybe resigning will help because teams know that youre available then and more than likely ready to go straight into the job.

In other news my second game after losing the first is against top of the table unbeated in 7 games Xerez. Im losing 2-1 after just giving away a pen.
