brilliant tomhorse! i'm thinking maybe we can move clubs to a new country try doing the challenge there, then eventually move back to the original country (the one you havn't finished) regardless of what team you get to manage, what you think?

That sounds a good way of getting round it. Once your manager has a bit of reputation, it should make it easier to get better jobs. So you can come back to the same country to a bigger club and more chance of getting the league/cup.

It's still going to take years of game time to complete the challenge so I don't think it'll make it much easier, but allows players more choice and a bit of freedom if they get stuck in the rut

Started my challenge last night...

Out of 5 available positions at the time, it was a north eastern team who kindly offered me steady employment. During my brief 72 hours of unemployment at the start of my challenge, Dunfermline also put in a bid. However, being over wage budget and having no transfer kitty in the old firm dominated SPL, meant that I threw them a disdainful glance and withdrew my application.

Instead, I packed my suitcase, printed off an AA map and trundled up the M1 to meet my new team - S****horpe. Famous for Steel, Ray Clemence and do I not like that - Graham Taylor!

I'll post a screenshot of my profile this evening with a little update from the Iron.
