Default Seanefc's Worldwide Challenge

Seanefc's Worldwide Challenge

The Challenge
Win the Champions League equivalent in all 5 playable continents. Along with the World Club Championship.

Inspiration
The inspiration for this challenge comes from 'Everton Blokes' challenge (which i am currently part of), the idea of which is to win every competition above domestic level world wide. So firstly, i hope he doesnt mind a fellow Evertonian borrowing from his idea! The thought behind this challenge is realy just that, although fairly long, it would take nowhere near as long to complete, as in mine, there are only 6 competitions which you must win. (which should be short enough, seeing as there will be a new football manager game in a few months)

the Inspiration - Everton Blokes Challenge

The Rules
Start Un-employed, experience set to automatic. Manager nationality can be whatever you like (I personaly like to play with a foreign manager, i will most likely be an Uzbek or Belarussian).
Large database, Real Players, Attribute masking ON, no players from additional nations to be selected.

You may select any leagues you like, however, you will have to pick leagues which allow you to play in the following competitions,

European Champions League
Asian Champions League
African Champions League
North American Champions Cup
Copa Libratadores
World Club Championship

The very minimum league selection would be...

A top European league
South Africa
A top Asian League
Mexico (can play in Libratadores, aswell as North Amerian CC)

Obviously, starting un-employed, with automatic expreiance, will limit job opertunities, so it may be a good idea to run a couple of weaker leagues, or lower divisions, just to get started in. (I will personaly be trying the game with just top divisions from good leagues, hopefully it will still be possible to get a job).

I have chosen to leave International competitions out of this challenge purely for the selfish reason that i just dont like international management, however people should feel free to manage national teams if they want to.

Recomended Leagues

Top European league(s) - England, Spain or Italy
Top South American league(s) - Brazil or Argentina
Top Asian League(s) - South Korea or China
African League - South Africa
North American League - USA or Mexico

OK, so hopefully lots of people will be interested in this one. From my experience of Everton Blokes challenge, it is realy great fun, but maybe just a little too enormous!!! so hopefully this one will be about right!

please post lots of screen shots and update often!

Good Luck

CHANGE IN THE RULES

Well now i suppose some people will think this is a bit of a cop out... but im going to allow people to set their past experiance as high as professional if they want to.

Purely to make it easyer to get a job. Im not realy interested in building up my reputation, just want to get on to a decent team and try to win things

So, if you want to, set past expreiance to Professional

Right I am in!

I've gone for the following leagues with their default divisions:
England
Italy
Spain
Brazil
Argentina
South Korea
China
South Africa
USA
Mexico

Experience is Automatic

I will take any job anywhere except South Africa to begin with (I've already managed there with Tambo Cosmos and it was rubbish!) Hoping for USA as I havent done much there before and there tons of hype right now!

Will keep you all updated!

The game is currently setting up

Well the only USA club available was FC Dallas and they just turned me down!!!

I have three offers on the table:
P.Colima - Mexico second tier
Jiamusi Yingzi - China second tier
Lanzhou Youngqi - China second tier

I have decided to take Lanzhou Youngqi as they have a media prediction of 4th, although the league has played 11 games already so I'm up against it. Hopefully this club will just be a stepping stone!

Update Dec '06

After taking over Lanzhou half way through the season in 11th I managed to drag them up to 7th with a win on the final day of the season

I am stuggling to remember the players and it seems I have a problem with Oriental names!

The u19's won their league so the future should be good for Lanzhou, wether I stick around or not!

My goal for this season is promotion and I am hoping that I can get it and then maybe jump ship to a bigger top tier team.

Did nothing in the cup this season as they went out before I took over!
