Canada, sick and tired of being unable to challenge for international titles, has taken action. The Canadian FA has announced that is will form a new, professional league. The league is currently waiting for investors, and is due to have 2 Divisions. The Canadian First and Second Divisions will contain 14 teams apiece, playing 26 games per season. Investors are expected from all around the world, and the league is hoping to draw some current Canadian national team players back to Canada. Its hope it to revitalize the Canadian national team, and turn it into a CONCACAF powerhouse, much like MLS has done for the United States. The 14 team league will allow 4 non-Canadians to be in the match day squad, although as many as desired may be signed. The league will run from April to November in an attempt to avoid the harsh Canadian winter.
