I have finished Pre-Season and I won 2 and lost 2 with my final game of Pre-Season being a 7-1 demolition of my reserves

Predicted to finish 11th I'm hoping for a top half finish, tbh I'm not really sure what to expect
Before I even look at him, I would have to say that 32 of 43 isn't that good a percentage really. A really good Target Man should be able to win in excess of 90% of headers. Your guy is winning about 75%.

Now I've looked at him..... lowish work rate and determination. Doesn't really do it for me, sorry. </BLOCKQUOTE>

I see what your saying, I've not really got knowledge on target men, but I was impressed with the physical stats and his heading for such a low league. He was at the club already. I'm just about to start the season so I'l see how he does.

Hungary but the first 3 letters I expect are forbidden they are related to sectarian stuff.

I don't know why it keeps doing that?

It's quite funny though.

In my first game of the season he won 33 from 38 which I think was more than the other 21 players on the pitch put together.

My big man Lund has won 300 headers out of a possible 335 this season. He is immense, i'll post screenies at the end of the season now only 5 games to go.

Lisburn Rangers. N.Ireland 2nd Division 2007/08. Season 1.

2nd Division. Finished 4th.

Table.
Graph.

We started slowly and it took a while for me to realise exactly where the strength of my team lay. From that point on it was attack attack attack. I threw caution to the wind and hoped that we would score enough goals to make up for our shortcomings defensively.

We got into the automatic promotion spot, but the Cup Final got in our way and we weren't the same team afterwards.

Irish Cup. Lost in 1st Round.

Intermediate Cup. Runners Up.

We were leading 4-2 in the 65th minute, and I thought the game was won, so I made all my 3 subs to give the youngster some glory and lived to regret it as we conceded 2 goals in the last 8 minutes and then lost on penalties.

Intermediate League Cup. 3rd in League Stage. (Top 2 progress).
Antrim Trophy. Lost in 3rd Round.

Most goals. Centre-half Mullan.

Most assists. McDaid.

Target Man. Anto.

14 goals. Chisholm.

11 goals. McMahon.

Calderwood.

Squad stats.

The prize money won't get me far.

I tried and failed to get a feeder or a parent club .

To be honest I'm absolutely delighted with the season. It felt really fresh and new as I never seemed to know what was coming next. There were Cup games galore and getting to the Final was beyond my wildest dreams. We weren't really anywhere near good enough to get promoted, but I kept scoring enough goals to keep us in with a shout. 22 goals from centre-back is just silly. There is no other word for it.

N.Ireland European entrants.

Champions League. Portadown.

UEFA Cup. Armagh.

UEFA Cup. Linfield.

Interscmotto Cup. Lisburn Distillery. (Why can't I have these lot as my parent club) ?

Pre-season news.

My keeper, my skipper and McMahon, were all nicked by bigger clubs before I could trim the wage bill and offer then a new contract. 6 other players were snapped up by other clubs, when I decided they were no longer needed, and 2 more were just shunted rudely out of the back door. 9 new players were signed on on a free and our first batch of Fred's arrived, (6).

As always your end of season report is a great read jimbo.

You've had a solid first season then in Northern Irish football. I love the fact your centre back scored 22 goals too.

Any plans for next season?

If I almost got promoted and got to a Cup Final with the rabble that I had at my disposable last season..... then I expect to win the league by 20 points & win 2 Cups this season .

No, seriously, it was quite a big loss, losing my keeper, my skipper and McMahon. I've signed a replacement keeper and am tryinf to secure a back-up, but we look a liitle wee and naive in the middle of the pitch with our experienced skipper missing. We've also had to do without Mullan as his pre-season has been disrupted by injury. At the moment, I'm muddling through the early cup games without a leader and without a threat from set-pieces. As my whole tactic is geared up to exploiting set-pieces, we're a little bit in limbo at the moment. We won and drew against 2 teams from higher leagues, but have just needed extra-time to beat a non-league team.

I have signed a left winger that is making a bit of an impact. Eamonn Vize. Not a very Irish surname .
