Mullan only 5'11", but an excellent jumper and VERY determined.
He's scoring indirect free-kicks, ie he is heading someone else's free-kick in, to an often unguarded net as the keeper flails away in no-mans land.
He's ok at spot-kicks, but hit the post with 1 and had another saved. Mullan. Mullan Stats. Mullan History. | Yet again you appear to have found a gem! His physical stats are generally good (except Agility and Balance) and his Heading linked with his Determination makes him an effective player.
Jimbo did you get him in or was he already at Lisburn when you arrived? Do you ever throw him up front when you are chasing a game? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Yeah, I'm delighted with him. If you look at the stats page, what I notice is that he hasn't been booked, despite attempting 103 tackles, and he's scored 18 goals from only 26 shots on target. 173 out of 210 headers is not too shabby either.
I signed him on a free after he was released by Premiership Limavady. He'd been playing league games for them, so I'm a little surprised to have nabbed him.
I haven't often played him up front. He's never started up front, but I think he;s gone forward in the 2nd half on about 3 occasions when Anto has either been booked or been in danger of getting sent off. I would rather keep him at centre-half to be honest. The way my tactics are set up, he probably gets more scoring opportunities at the back than he does playing up front. He is the target for every corner and a threat at other set-pieces. Anto is generally asked to stand in the middle of the pitch and try and flich it onto someone else.
Who would be a Target Man .

I chose the norwegian leagues coz i have never managed there before and it seemed like a good place to start!
Here is my profile, http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...18/profile.jpg

I'm a great advocate of "never say die" but i do think that you've just been admitted into intensive care and the future's bleak at Csepel :thdn:
Hope youhave better luck next season whoever you are managing  | I tried a bit, but with only 6 contracted players it was more about trying to find a system where they could all play in their 'natural' positions.
Ahh, pants. I've just been informed that the fans trust is looking to take over the club and we are placed under a transfer embargo. This news came 5 days before the transfer window is due to re-open.
The fans dont even want the club to succeed.
Unbelievably, Csepel SC actually won the Hungarian championship in '42, '43, '48 and '59, and also competed in the European Cup in 1959/60. How the mighty have fallen.

Oh, and with three of those 6 players being half decent defenders for this div, I would be more concerned about conceding 57 in those same 18 games, than only scoring 6.

I will keep an eye out on non league clubs in future competitions.
Congratulations to Skjetten Fotball on promotion to the Norweigan First Division
| That's not quite what I meant.
I think that some of the clubs that I am coming up against in these Cup Competitions are classed as non-league, but are actually playing in your league structure, which is not active in my game.
It's the clubs in your league that I'm thinking of. Derry are from N.Ireland, but I think there are more too. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes Derry City play in the Eircom Leagues and have done since 1985. They are the only northern team within the 2 divisions which make up the Eircom Leagues.

Rep Power: 0 | Ok, so if the club belongs to thousands of fans, how come only 890 turn up for games?
On to better news, with the embargo over, I managed to get three more players in, and now have a playing staff of 14, including a new first choice GK.
Unfortunately my new GK, was injured for the first game back after the break, but my new first choice striker really made a name for himself, scoring a hatrick on debut to record Csepel's first league win in a 3-2 win over Kecskemét. His third goal came in the 91st minute, shortly after they had mis-queued a penalty against the crossbar. How dramatic could it get.
Could this be the start of the mother of all comebacks?
With 11 games to go, we are still 16pts and a huge goal difference from safety.

I play on Saturdays for my local amateur team. I play up front and am 6f 4 too. Although i'm not really a out an out target man i'll am pretty decent in the air. I've been our top scorer for for the past couple of seasons too. Although i'm tall i'm fantastic with the ball at my feet (because I have Norwegian roots in my family, I like to think of myself as playing abit like Tore Andre Flo), So I don't think Jimbo would ever play me. |

I'm only just over 6ft, but whenever I played Sunday League football, (after playing rugby the day before I must add), I either played left back or centre-back, (if they had someone they wanted to man-mark).
I used to just bully these big blokes and they hated it .
