John Hansen

Oh, I messed up. His tackling is 17, not his marking. Still it's pretty good. I always paired him with this guy.

Joona Toivio

Toivio is already in the Finnish national team in the game. Defense of the future is set for approx. 10K. Gotta love it.
They both look very promising at just 17 and 18 respectively.

Might see if I can find them in my game, I need some good defenders too. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Hope you can find them. Like I said, I haven't seen them since the demo, which I've been reduced to playing since I had to get the new computer.

Like you i just needed a fresh challenge and fancied a little break. However, i'm not sure how on earth you're going to cope with just 3 players on the bench
Even in England I never ever put a keeper on the bench so i was used to 5 outfield subs.

This is really weird. The setting up of the squad seems pretty ok, but I've already had a look at the 2nd Division League Rules and it appears that there is a relegation playoff at the end of the season. Not sure exactly how this works, Let's hope I still don't know come the end of the year.

There's also a mini league that turns into a cup before the proper season starts. It's all so exciting. I feel like a kid in a sweetshop .

My U18's, (full of greys), have just beaten my senior team, (on penalties), in a pre-season friendly, (watched by a crowd of 63) .

Not a good sign of things to come .

JoseRR. That's not a problem. I know what you mean, I wish I didn't have work to intervene with my FM gaming pleasure.

Jimbo. Maybe the answer is to have a couple of utility players on the bench or already in the starting 11 to give you more options.

Jimbo: 3 subs... That hurts. In fact, that puts so much more value on versatile players. I'd get a D RLC, a M RLC and an AM/FC, and those guys would probably the most important in my team...

Or a more vicious tactic is to put hard tackling on the opposition keeper...

Wtf is that all about ?

I was hoping for 7 if it wasn't gonna be 5 .
I had to deal with that in past games in Northern Ireland and Wales.

I put a sort of utility defender and midfielder and a striker on the bench.

When I was in Wales, In four years I only to play an outfield player in goal once but I guess that was just luck!

I'm currently 4th in the lower tier of Norwegian football (Just drawn 2-2 with the League leaders) and am getting really annoyed with my parent club
They've offered me 2 players, want me to pay all of their wages and both have rejected joining me. I've tried to tempt 4 of their reserves and the club keep rejecting my offers. As a parent club they are officially cr4p
They were already affiliated to the club when i took over managing them, but they ain't gonna be anymore
On a side issue (and whilst i feel like moaning ) i have a really good striker on my books he's scored 6 in 6 games. Not a bad return you might say, however it has taken him the best part of 5 months to amass this amount of games So far he has managed to play 2 consecutive games all season, he's always injured If it's not in a match, then it's on the training pitch, i just wish he'd stay fit as he's class when he plays

Anyway i'll stop moaning and get back to this challenge later

Fastbasher i agree it was a very good lure to get me involved
This is by far the hardest challenge out there and should only be attempted by the very best managers

Yeah it's not easy is it. Concerning parent clubs, I asked for one in the hope of getting same city club Viking Stavanger. Only they came back with 3 clubs(no Viking) I chose SK Brann. They have have since sent me 3 players 2 of which are very decent for our level.
At least you guys have got parent clubs, I have asked about three times already and I dont bloody get one!!!

Well my Stavanger IF team finally seem to be getting their act together.

We've just beat Hodd (2nd favs for the league) 3-0 on their own patch.

The big lad upfront is playing a huge role for us, Espen Lund has now scored 7 goals in 4 games!
