Who would have thought that a tour of Montenegro would be that hard...?

Arsenal Tivat 2-1 Metalac
Boeklj 2-2 Metalac
Buducnost 3-1 Metalac
Decic 5-1 Metalac

Signed no less than 13 free transfers, because my 4 non grey players sucked (one was 39 and didn't want to coach and the rest were complete and utter crap).

Got a couple of good youngsters, but it's gonna be a hard season. Next up, a tour of Albania... Then, I'll be "ready" for the season...

This looks fun, Gundo. When I finally get my game disc back again get installed on my new comp, I think I'm going to give this challenge a whirl.

Speaking of young stars, anyone remember John Hansen of B36 during the demo? 17 Marking at the age of 17! Haven't had much like finding him in the actual games I've played though......

Gundo, good work mate. I will give this a go after the San Marino challenge (or possibly at times when I am ready to pull my hair out in frustration at it).
Of course it is harder than Dafuges challenge. The lower the reputation of the league the harder it will be. That is the good thing about the format of this challenge, so much choice. Both on difficulty and also area of the world that people prefer to manage in.
Belgium, for example, will be a lot easier than Northern Ireland. I suspect the most difficult countries (in no order) will be Iceland, Belarus, Wales and the two Irelands. Possibly Slovenia, Slovakia and Serbia to be included in that group.
The reason is winning the Champions Cup, not their domestic league of course. As from lower rep leagues it is harder to attract players of quality enough to compete in the Champions Cup, plus finances are a lot lower.
Any low team from a 'big' nation will be able to compete in Europe a lot easier when they rise in the leagues than even a 'big' team from a small nation, as a team like Chippenham will eventually be able to attract better players than Ferencvaros ever will.
But obviously any team/league selected will be extremely difficult.

Nice bait to lure Cookie in.

This really is one hell of a tough challenge!
I'm currently 4th in the lower tier of Norwegian football (Just drawn 2-2 with the League leaders) and am getting really annoyed with my parent club
They've offered me 2 players, want me to pay all of their wages and both have rejected joining me. I've tried to tempt 4 of their reserves and the club keep rejecting my offers. As a parent club they are officially cr4p
They were already affiliated to the club when i took over managing them, but they ain't gonna be anymore
On a side issue (and whilst i feel like moaning ) i have a really good striker on my books he's scored 6 in 6 games. Not a bad return you might say, however it has taken him the best part of 5 months to amass this amount of games So far he has managed to play 2 consecutive games all season, he's always injured If it's not in a match, then it's on the training pitch, i just wish he'd stay fit as he's class when he plays

Anyway i'll stop moaning and get back to this challenge later

Fastbasher i agree it was a very good lure to get me involved
This is by far the hardest challenge out there and should only be attempted by the very best managers

cookie. Is it possible that you keep asking your striker to come back too early? maybe you could keep him out of the team for a couple of games when he is fit and see how that goes .

Gundo. I take it you wouldn't have any objections to me changing my settings slightly and using only a medium database for the N.Irish Leagues?

I was contemplating also loading up the English League structure in 'view only' so that I would get a certain Super Star who is of N.Irish descent, (as N.Irish players is the English structure would be available), but it doesn't work as his primary Nationality is English, so your rules are safe .

Thank you all for your kind words, welcome and good luck to all the new starters.

Konquest. yeah it's not going to be an easy task trying to overtake those big clubs domestically. Cool club name btw.

NeoAC. I don't remember him but i'm sure there are plenty of unearthed gems out their.

Corinthiano. That looks like a decent start you've made at the half-way stage. Giorgos Ioannidis looks pretty promising to and he can tackle which is abit odd for a winger. Any plans to sign him on a permanent deal or would he not be interested?

Fastbasher. I really enjoyed doing dafuge's challenge but just felt like I needed a break from it and a trip abroad into the glamorous world of European management (Norwegian's bottom tier anyone?). I'd been planning to start a challenge for some weeks and had various ideas floating around. I eventually came up with this. Patrik Burda was the bait on the hook and Cookie just couldn't resist.

Anthony130791, Welcome and good luck.

Jimbo, that's fine if you want to use the medium database, as it's still in the confines of the challenge (just means you are actually making a little harder for yourself  ).

I've just run some tests running the N Irish leagues only and a large database. If you select these options at start Barrow where included in the game. Although only one barrow player was their and the rest where greys. I do believe though if you try and load it up a couple of times (this should'nt take too long) you should be able to get SuperKyle included as that one player.

Actually having said that... I've just reloaded from the set-up 3 or 4 times and Barrow aren't their (could take some time to get him and Barrow).

So if you want to do what you originally said, with view only English leagues then that's ok. I'll just putt a *(and an explanation at the bottom) on the challenge table so everyone knows what you are doing.

Hey I don't know who's worse me and Cookie with Burda or you and plenty of others with SuperKyle.
