International Friendly: Andorra vs. Brunei

As payment for doing his tech support, Gates had the Sultan of Brunei force his FA to agree to a friendly. Unfortunately, some players passports must have gotten lost in the mail. Only 13 players were on the Andorran match squad, and 2 got call up by other nations! (Scala to Australia, Cook to Eritrea) I attempted to fix that one. But still it means the international debut for 13 La Vella members. Here are the highlights.


17' - Was to quick for me to see it, but apparently Fisher had the goal at his mercy and scored his first for his new nation. I'll take their word for it.

41' Another quickie, this time from the other striker. Swinson got a similar break, walked into the area and put it past the helpless keeper, who I suspect is just the Sultan's maid's cousin.

44' Von Liechtenstein, who had a stormer of a game, scooped up a loose ball and again walked right into the area, but this time, Nek Ahmed Kamil Muhd Zaini (try saying that three times fast), grabbed some kit, earning a card and a spot kick. Chia stepped up and buried it with ease. He immediately thanked Von Liechtenstein for doing all the work for him.

For those interested, our next match may be a bit more difficult. We go from playing 177th ranked Brunei on our own turf, to an away match against 5th ranked England to open EURO qualifiers. Bit of a step up I'd say.
