Sept. 19th 2006

Oostende’s Steven Kemp again rejects a new contract offer, still holding out for more money.

Sept. 26th 2006

Fabio Maldini also rejects another contract offer from Antwerp, still wanting a higher appearance bonus.

Sept. 27th 2006

Zalim of Satas, after playing his 8th official match for Go Ahead Eagles, is jaded and in need of a rest.

Oct. 1st 2006

Player updates:

Holland
Belgium
Luxembourg

Injury Summary:

- Ruud van Titchen: 3 weeks - 2 months (torn hamstring)
- Tjebbe-Willem Hermanus: 4 days - 2 weeks (bruised thigh)
- Steven Kemp: 2 weeks - 1 month (hip injury)
- Ulfke Chaocmans: 1 day - 2 weeks (twisted knee)
- Jai Wallace: 1 day - 2 weeks (strained knee ligaments)
- Josh McLachlan: 1 day - 3 weeks (sprained ankle)
- Rhys Howells: 2 weeks - 2 months (slipped disc)

Ruud van Titchen and Jai Wallace are the only ones still waiting to make their debut.

Still no other teams interested in anyone, but with ratings like that, I'm willing to bet there'll be some offers coming in for some during the January transfer window.

Rip van Winkle scores a goal, woo hoo \o/, I bet he caught the defence napping (yes that is the only reason I used that name, so that I could use that gag).

At least you didn't have to wait too long to make that joke.
(it was a direct free kick, by the way)

These updates are absolutely top class
They are precise, to the point and contain all the information anyone could want.

(I might be slightly biased as, for once my Sign-up player actually appears to be doing reasonably well , cue major injury and Van Der Cook out for the season )

Oct. 4th 2006

After his 11th appearance for AGOVV, Rafael van Nistelrooy now also becomes jaded and in need of a rest. Zalim of Satas, who had the same problem a week ago, has since played two more matches for Go Ahead. Both teams now have 10 days until their next match though.

Oct. 7th 2006

FC Eindhoven’s Gary Vandertore out for 2-3 months with a slipped disc.

Meanwhile, some more international news:

Serbia – Belgium (Euro Qual)
3 – 1

Bulgaria – Holland (Euro Qual)
0 – 2

Slovenia – Luxembourg (Euro Qual)
3 – 0

However, more importantly…

With a batch of Euro U19 Qual matches just a few days away, it now looks pretty much certain that we’ll see some international debuts very soon.

Nine of the Luxembourgians are now listed in the nation’s U19 squad. Only Jai Wallace and Josh McLachlan, both still injured, are not included.

Sadly, none of the Belgians or Dutch seem to have made it into their U19 squad at this time.

Luxembourg will play Israel first, on Oct. 10th. Stay tuned.
