AI Experiment: How Does Reputation Really Effect Things?
This experiment is to see just how a team which isnt really a team perform, being shoved right into the deep end. The Premiership.
I've chosen to use FM05 for this, FM08 is great but it's editor takes a LOT longer than FM05 and players that are now in the premiership, wont be so this will be more interesting.
Now after deep consideration ive chosen to do 2 Teams on this.
Team 1
Name: The Populars
Squad: None
Money: 300 Million
Repuation: 10,000
Team 2
Name: The Un Populars
Squad: None
Money: 300 Million
Reputation: 0
Now i know what youre going to say, The Populars will sign a team filled with superstars and Un Populars will finish the season with absolutely no points etc.
But will this really happen?
Lets Find Out!
Any questions or Requests, Just ask!

AI Experiment: How Does Reputation Really Effect Things? Post #2
Okay to start things off, i added a manager for both teams, and looked in my news. Now despite both teams having No playing staff, The Un - Populars where tipped for relegation, with The Populars being tipped Number one favourites.
I also noticed that even though both teams have the EXACT bank balance. The Populars Transfer Budget is £559Million!, while the Un Populars is a mere £169Million!
Another amazing thing i noticed, was the different in wages. At the Unpopulars i got a measly £1,000 a week.(I got this when i was at Rushden.) While at the populars i got 8 times this, at £8,000 per week.
Another thing is the staff, i looked in the Un Populars staff, and there was nothing. While The Populars had no less than 15!!! different staff ALL of which where World Class.
Both teams have the exact same ground (They share it) and amazingly the Populars season tickets (After just 3 days) was sold out. While for the Unpopulars half of them where gone, which i thought quite shocking baring in mind they have no reputation (Must be the premierships appeal)
Despite both teams still having no players(Its currently July 24TH) There first match odds, are VERY interesting. For the Populars VS Charlton its 1-2 on the Populars to win. While for The Un Populars VS Liverpool its 50-1 on the Unpopulars.
Now i placed an advert for assistant manager on both teams to see what would happen, surprisingly these are the candidates each team got:
Populars: 8 (All with National Reputations)
UnPopulars: 5 (All with Local Reputations)
They both have 4 matches televised in the run up to xmas, which is suprising, but not really that interesting.
I will update the Transfer situation when the transfer period is over, but untill then i will focus on the matches and over various aspects. As always if you want screenshots, or have questions just ask!

I guess it shows that this game does put a lot of emphasis on the reputation of our team, whether we like it or not. I think it'd be interesting to figure out in which ways you could possibly increase/decrease your reputation, and to what degree.
