KHAN UNVEILED AS NEW MAN UTD BOSS
Unknown rookie Faiz Khan was unveiled yesterday as the new boss of his beloved club Manchester United. After last season's disappointment, Sir Alex Ferguson was informed that his services were no longer satisfying the board any longer. The board announced they were going to shock everyone by bringing a lifelong supporter of the club instead of an experienced winner. When asked about the coming season in his dream job, Khan defiantly declared that whatever the board asked of him, there will be 100% from both Khan and his players. Faiz said that he would do all he can to regain the Premiership from Arsenal and have a good crack at the Champions League. He also confidently declared that defending the F.A. Cup would be fantastic as he would love to win it for the 12th for Man Utd. It remains to be seen whether Khan can turn this squad into Premiership champions and Kings of Europe - but Faiz will know that it can be achieved with his current squad. Faiz Khan left the whole world with this note - 'WATCH THIS SPACE!

RICHARDSON NO LONGER WANTED BY KHAN
Faiz Khan has made reshuffling his current squad his first order of business. He has started by placing young winger Kieran Richardson on the transfer list. Khan is asking for £3m and is refusing to loan the player. This follows the news from the board that Faiz must effectively sell before he buys after being given a poultry transfer budget of £4.8m.

MAN UTD TAKE CHANCE ON BELGIAN SUPERKID
Manchester United have announced this afternoon the signing of 16-year-old Belgian sweeper Anthony Vanden Borre. The youngster has been signed for a £875,000 compensation fee paid to Anderlecht as the player's contract was not protected. Faiz Khan has certainly made Man Utd fans look a bit confused as they have not heard of Vanden Borre - but Khan is very excited about a player he best describes as 'one for the future of world football.' The player himself described the move as a dream come true. He went on to say that he cant wait to play for such a well-supported club.

KHAN MAKING WAVES AROUND OLD TRAFFORD AS LEGEND RETURNS
Faiz Khan is a lifelong supporter of Manchester United and he has certainly acted like one not even a week into his reign as boss. He has bought back old fan favourite Eric Cantona as a coach who will concentrate mainly on the strikers. This shocking announcement is sure to endear Khan to his fellow fans and will certainly make Old Trafford an even more intimidating stadium to visit for future opponents. Eric was said to be ecstatic to be back at his former club of which he calls simply 'HOME.' This appointment is sure to make a huge impact on English Football of which Cantona is no stranger to.

RONALDO SUFFERS INJURY SETBACK
Manchester United have been dealt an injury blow as 19-year-old wonderkid Cristiano Ronaldo has been for the next 3 weeks because of a fractured cheekbone suffered in training. He was visibly very disappointed leaving the Carrington training ground complex with suffering the injury that could well hamper his preparations for the brand new season under his brand new boss, Faiz Khan. However, he is very optimistic that he will return a better player because of all the pent up frustration and adrenaline. He will miss the curtain raiser against champions Arsenal in Cardiff. He should be back for the first game of the season which will be the Champions League Qualifier. United's opponents are yet to be known.

You'll probably win the title "take that as a complement " but good luck anyway!

RED DEVILS HANDED TOUGH EUROPEAN TIE
Manchester United were definitely seeded for the Champions League preliminary round and that usually that means a favourable tie. Being seeded didnt help Faiz Khan this time as he was handed a very tricky encounter against Portugeuse giants Benfica. Khan has described this as 'a very difficult tie that he could have avoided.' However, Khan fully expects his team to come through the two legged game starting on 11/08/2004 at Old Trafford. Faiz will be hopeful that his side can take a healthy lead and not concede any away goals for the away leg. A very tough first examination of Faiz Khan's managerial credentials will come in his 1st real competitive game.

GUNNERS HOT FAVOURITES TO RETAIN TITLE
As the new season draws nearer and nearer, the latest odds for the Barclaycard Premiership have been released by leading betting giant Ladbrokes. The defending champions Arsenal have been made red hot favourites for the title at
6-4. Manchester United have only been made fourth favourites at 5-1. Here is a list of the main contenders for the FA Barclaycard Premiership title this season:[LIST]Arsenal 6-4
Chelsea 2-1
Liverpool 3-1
Man Utd 5-1
Newcastle 20-1
Aston Villa 33-1

So after seeing these bets, manager Faiz Khan will no doubt be showing this to his players which will only give them extra motivation in their Premiership challenge this coming season.
