All the club reps I left as what they were in the game, couldn't be bothered making them equal. Makes it a little bit biased to the bigger teams but thats life
1st season report coming up |

Welcome back to the Weakest Link. Twenty hopefulls set out on their career in football management. After their first season, one or two have been successful, two have failed so badly they have already been sacked, and five sit on the edge of sacking. Lets find out just who the are champs and who are the chumps. The Chumps Brian of Nazareth had high hopes for his Villa side, but they didn't last long. Indeed Villa, who were to end 13th in the Premiership under the guidance of Harry Redknapp, seemed as desperate as possible to get rid of the possible saviour as mankind, and Brian found himself on the dole queue at the end of November. Having failed to convince anyone else to employ him, Brian of Nazareth might soon have to give up and go back to being a nobody.
The other manager to suffer the indignity of being told they were not up to scratch was Tyrone the Mag whose spell at Newcastle ended a week before Brian of Nazareth was told to pack his bags by Villa. And like Brian, Tyrone remains unemployed. Layabout. Newcastle eventually recovered from Tyrone's mismanagement and ended 16th. The Chimps
The five managers who will be joining the chumps if things dont improve include two whose clubs were relegated, although for Gricehead there seems to be no malice from the board after he successfully guided West Brom back to Division One, ending the season in 19th place. King Jeff's Charlton weren't relegated either, ending in 15th place, but even so the board are not happy and the King may soon be relegated to a Prince. Faramir might well have reason to be aggrieved at the fact his job seems to be on the line, as his Fulham side finished what would seem to be a highly respectable 9th in the Premiership, as well as bringing home the British League Cup with a 3-0 triumph over Rangers in the final. Perhaps the board just dont like Yanks. Mattie at Middlesbrough and Trigz at Manchester City also led their clubs to miserable failure and it can only be a matter of time before their p45's are sent throught the post, although Mattie did lead his side to a League Cup semi final.
Thats the failures taken care of then. In the next part we look at the also rans and the winners and find out who is our number one manager and who is the weakest link.

Nice signing BoN . Hopefully that will keep DjembaX2 out the side. After all, it has been a long time since Villa last had a young midfielder from mainland Europe with a powerful shot |

In every field of runners, there are winners and losers. We always remember the winners, sometimes the losers, but we never remember the also-rans, those who were there but did nothing spectacular enough to warrant caring about.
Despite finishing a lowly 17th, and escaping relegation by just 2 points, Ryno's employers at Bolton seem to be happy enough with him. Exactly how long that will last if results dont improve though is anyone's guess. Puedlfor disgraced himself at Everton, given that they have a half decent side only finishing 14th is pretty poor. The derby results werent so hot either ending in a 2-2 draw and 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. Puedlfor has a lot to do to keep the Everton fans, and board, on side.
A mid table 12th place finish for Flipsix3 and Blackburn is perhaps just about decent enough. It wont win any plaudits, but it's surely enough to give Flipsix a bit of breathing space and a chance to try and close the gap on the front runners.
Finishing in 11th place were Mike Rogerson's Portsmouth side. Nothing to write home about, but a solid enough season and Mike should be good for another season in the hot seat unless things get dramatically worse.
Just edging their way into the top half of the table in 10th place, OMDave has had a reasonable season at Southampton. A League Cup Quarter Final against Stoke should have been winnable, but it wasnt. OMDave's side though made up for that in the FA Cup, going all the way to the Final before losing out to the eventual winners by 2-1.
And finally in this group of mediocrity, Fulham's 9th place finish is enough to keep Faramir in a job and by bringing home the British League Cup, Faramir at least has something to show for his first season in charge, and indeed is one of only three managers to win any silverware this season.
