Luis Garcia Show At St. Andrews
Saturday 15th January 2005

Luis Garcia was to produce yet another dazzling display for Liverpool and pull all the strings for Liverpool this afternoon. It was to be a perfect start for Liverpool on the day, 12 minutes in and Liverpool icon Gerrard scored after Garcia had centred the ball from the left side, Gerrard won a header against Upson and Taylor was left rooted on the line. 26 minutes in and Carter set Pennant on his way down the left, Pennant cut in, slid it through to Pandiani but his shot was well wide. 5 minutes later and the Birmingham defence were sleeping, Taylor's goal kick was headed upfield by Hyypia and Cisse was through on goal, he was one-on-one with the Birmingham keeper and banged in 2-0! Esposito was to give Cisse another chance for Liverpool, the Italian got past Lazaridis on the right he gave it to Cisse on his left, he got into the box but his shot was wide. 5 minutes from time and Dudek was called into action, Carter had the ball outside the area and tried a shot but Dudek clutched it to his chest. Just as the fourth official showed 2 minutes left Josemi took a throw in and Carragher won a header against Upson to head it down for Esposito who struck it on the half volley but he totally wasted it. Taylor took it quickly upfield and Heskey held it well, he found an onrushing Lazaridis bombing into the box but his shot is wide. End to end stuff to end the half.

Cisse was saved for the next game and Morientes came on. 2 minutes in and Esposito was to score his first ever Liverpool goal, one of many no doubt. Morientes one-two'd with Garcia, he got down the right wing, crossed into the box where Esposito had taken his place, he was free in the box and he powered his header into the net, great goal! Birmingham were looking very down and Liverpool went into defensive mode to defend their big lead. 66 minutes in and Dudek came to the rescue. Pandiani found Blake inside the box but Dudek smothered the shot. 9 minutes from time and another chance for Carter, Lazaridis passed a 25 yarder to find him out left, he cut in and tried a shot, deflected off Carra but straight into Dudek's arms. We held out for the win and another great display from the Reds.

ARSENAL BUY SINAMA OFF REDS
Monday 17th January 2005

Wenger boosted today his French legion by buying newly capped Sinama Pongolle off rivals Liverpool. Pongolle was third choice behind Cisse and Morientes and looked to have more competition from new Norweigan Myklebust. "The manager said that I could either go now or in the summer since he had other plans. I enjoyed my time in Liverpool and now I join the likes of Henry, Vieira and Pires at Arsenal.", said the young Frenchman who tied up a 4 year contract with the Gunners.

"Sinama is a great talent in French football and I was surprised when I was told he was for sale. He newly capped for France and has already shown this year that he is capable of amazing things. I'm sure he'll be a future star and I will look to help develope him to a world star.", said Wenger who signed the youngster for 3 million pounds.

"I felt that Sinama is a talent but I knew aswell he was looking to play more then I could play him and I wish him well at Arsenal even thou it's a step down from Liverpool", said Liverpool boss Taylor.

In other news Liverpool have drawn Norwich in the FA Cup fourth round and it will be played at Carrow Road.

Liverpool Crush Norwich FA Cup Dreams
Saturday 22nd January 2005

Minds might be on the next game from the Liverpool players since they host Man Utd in the return leg in the Carling Cup but they put in a very solid performance against bottom of the Premiership Norwich. Liverpool took the game by the balls straight from the off, Partridge tackled the ball off Edworthy in the box and it fell to Welsh who could only find the sidenetting wiht his poor shot. Minutes later he was able to amend his mistake but Welsh's effort hit the woodwork and bounced clear. Liverpool pushed and pushed towards the Norwich goal to get an early goal. 30 minutes gone and Aston centred the ball and McVeigh headed towards goal but it went wide. Right after that Esposito was to score his second goal in his second match at Liverpool. Carragher found him down the right, Esposito dribbled past Charlton, cut in, smashed it towards the top cornor and 1-0! Fabulous strike from Esposito. Only moments after the goal Green had to come to the rescue, Alonso gathered up a loose ball outside the box, curled it towards goal and Green was equal to it, brilliant save by Green! 3 minutes from halftime Morientes and Esposito combined well down the right, Espositio found Morientes running upfront, he kept the ball going but his shot was well wide.

Norwich were pushing bodies forward to try and get a goal but 6 minutes in and Esposito found Morientes in the box and Fleming pulled him down, a penalty was awarded! Pellegrino stepped up to take it and cheekily shot straight at goal whilst Green dived right, 2-0. 3 minutes after the goal McVeigh wipped to Holt outside the box, he shot but it was saved by Kirkland. 63 minutes in and Partridge skipped past Edworthy, found Cisse with a through ball, Cisse tried from distance but his shot turned the ball away. But Cisse's goal was to come, Hamann's brilliant 50 yard pass found Cisse running away from the Norwich defence, he rounded Green and slid it into the open goal, his 20th of the season, 3-0! Partridge's cornor in the 76th minute found Cisse at the near post, he beat Fleming in the air but he put it wide. But Norwich were to break Kirkland's clean sheet, bentley found Drury down the right, he put it in the six yard box and Jarvis won a header against Carra and Kirkland was helpless to save it. Only a consulation thou, 1-3.

Cisse Hattrick As Reds Crush Red Devils Hopes
Wednesday 26th January 2005

A game that surely on paper was very evenly contested surely did'nt look that way today as Liverpool tought Man Utd a lesson in effective football. It was however United who had the first chance, Giggs was awarded a free kick when he was fouled by Finnan, Rooney struck it and it just grazed the bar. However that was just a false impression of what was to come. 11 minutes in and the Cisse show had begun. Luis Garcia found the lethal Frenchman upfront, he dribbled past Ferdinand, raced away from the United defense and slipped it past Caroll to start the Liverpool rampage, 1-0. 5 minutes later van Nistelrooy had a volley inside the box but it went over the bar. United tried to push forward but Liverpool kept coming. 24 minutes in and Caroll had to save Cisse's shot after that he'd dribbled past Ferdinand yet again. But Caroll could'nt save the next shot as Risse found Kewell in the box, he then squared it for Garcia who only needed to finish, 2-0! 5 minutes later it was time for Kewell to have a go, Esposito had gotten the ball off Cisse and crossed field to Kewell on the far post but his shot was wide. A minute later Garcia wanted to test Caroll again but his long shot went well wide. 5 minutes from time Garcia was yet again to have a long shot from outside the box after United new boy Tuncay cleared the ball but his shot was wide.

Finnan had to leave the field at halftime with an injury, Pellegrino replaced and Carra went to right back. Liverpool were to score their third right from the off, Ferdinand's clearence was gathered by Kewell, he one-two'd with Cisse and then put it into the six yard box back to Cisse, 3-0! United looked like someone had knocked their air out of them. But it did'nt help them that in the 58th minute Kewell nicked the ball off Ferdinand, strode down the left, put it into the 6 yard box and Cisse finished it off and had scored a hattrick, 4-0! 5 minutes later Alonso had a chance to make it five, Cisse nodded it down to Alonso, he one-two'd with Gerrard and bent it towards goal but it went wide. 5 minutes later Hyypia decided to join in the fun. Alonso's cornor found the big finn who'd won a header against O'Shea but his effort was held by Caroll. 10 minutes from time a rare United chance arose, Neville one-two'd with Keane, he advanced down the right, found Keane outside the area, he tried to shoot for the top cornor, but it went well wide. 3 minutes later Garcia found Kewell down the left, Kewell dribbled his way into the box, shot low but well saved by Caroll. 3 minutes from time Kewell completed the humiliation, Partridge found Cisse outside the box, he tried to score form distance and Caroll saved well but Kewell got onto the rebound and was totally free to slot it in for 5-0!

Liverpool Make It 26
Saturday 29th January 2005

Ahead of our game against Spurs I decided to give Esposito a little rest so he could adjust a bit to the English style of living. Carragher was still out injured and Pellegrino filled in again beside 'Big Sam'. We're we to win today we'd have 26 wins out of 26 and a step closer to the title.

First Half
Min 5 - Pellegrino took a throw in in Spurs half and threw directly to Garcia but Keane won the header against him. The ball found Cisse who headed it into the box for Gerrard, he tee'd up Hamann inside the box who shot on the half volley! But well wide and wasted.
Min 15 - Keane was fouled outside the box by Pellegrino and free kick to Spurs. Varela lined it up, and struck it! Well wide!
Min 23 - GOAL! Naybet's long ball was headed by Riise to Kewell down the left, he dribbled past Varela and passed it through for Cisse, he controlled the ball well into the box and powered it hard into the back of the net!! He pointed to Kewell as to say "That was for you and that great pass"! 1-0!!

Second Half
Min 47 - GOAL! Riise played a ball down the wing for Kewell, got down the wing without any pressure, crossed into the six yard box from the byeline, Garcia dived onto it!! 2-0!!

To be honest this was a straight forward game and not alot of chances were created. We limited Tottenham to zero shots on target and we did enough to get 2 goals behind Robinson. Kewell however had a really good game and had no problems getting down the left wing.

Three MORE YOUNGSTERS TO 'POOL
Monday 31st January 2005

The transfer window closes at midnight tonight and Liverpool revealed their 3 more youngsters to join the ranks. Denni Avdic, Leo Messi and Martin Jensen are all to join the club but some don't join until after the season.

21-year-old Martin Jensen joins the club today from Danish outfit Frem on a 4 year deal. The tall Dane is a product of Frem and spent 4 good years at the club getting 41 appearences for the club in those 4 years. "I join one of the best clubs in the world.", he told Liverpoolfc.tv. "I am 21 and have played very well this year in Denmark and now it was time for a move. I understand that I will not get into the first team this year but next year I'll be pushing to get in.". Liverpool have reported to pay 375k for Jensen.

17-year-old Messi won't join the squad until the first of August this year. He preferred a move to Liverpool then stay with his current employer Barcelona. "Big things are happening with Liverpool at the moment under Taylor's management.", said Messi to Marca. "I know Rijkaard wanted me to stay but I want to make my big break in England and Liverpool.". Messi was found in Argentina at 15 years of age and has been through all the ranks of Barcelona and notched up 8 appearences in La Liga so far this season.

16-year-old Avdic joins the Red outfit sooner then Messi in the beginning of July. He is currently at Brondby after coming from Husqvarna in Sweden. Denni is touted to be the next best thing in Sweden and is excited about moving to England and Liverpool. "Who can say no to Liverpool? I had intrest from Spain and Italy but Liverpool were the only ones to contact me and I've been round the club aswell", said the Swede to Danska Dagbladet. "I'll have Gerrard and Alonso to look up to and who better rolemodels can you have then the two best in the world?". Avdic's fee is reckoned to be a 230k compensation.

Djibrilliant, Cisse!
Saturday 5th February 2005

We all know that Cisse was having a good season but his performance today gave cause that he should be playing ahead of Trezeguet in the French National team. Carra was still out but Esposito was back into the team.

First Half
Min 4 - It was West Brom who'd have the first chance. Dudek's poor kick was picked up by Robinson, he found Chaplow outside the Liverpool area, he shot from distance! But straight into Dudek's arm.
Min 7 - Esposito found Cisse down the right flank, Cisse dribbled down to the byline, crossed to the near post, Esposito heads the ball! Wide of the goal!
Min 15 - GOAL! The show had begun! Riise threw in to Hyypia, Sami passed back to Riise who found Cisse with space upfront, Cisse got onto the ball, dribbled past Moore, only the keeper to beat! Dribbled past the keeper!! 1-0!!
Min 37 - Garcia found Kewell out left with a great ball, Kewell cut into the area, squared for Cisse, he hit on the volley! Great save!! It fell to Kewell, crossed in for Garcia, tries his luck from a bad angle! Deflected off Scimeca!! But good save again by Johnsen.

Second Half
Min 48 - GOAL! Cisse's second of the day. Gerrard sliced open WBA's defense with a great ball, Cisse controlled it brilliantly, feinted left, went right past the keeper! 2-0!!
Min 64 - Darren Moore is showed his second yellow and the evening becomes even harder for West Brom.
Min 65 - GOAL!! Cisse played the ball back to Finnan and Finnan returned a 25 yard pass to send Cisse on his way, Cisse was one on one with the keeper, blasted to the top cornor! 3-0!! Cisse's second hattrick this week!!!
Min 68 - New boy Chris Burke found Gaardsoe outside the Liverpool area, checked his options, decides to shoot! Comfortable save for Dudek again.
Min 74 - GOAL!! Guess who? Finnan found Alonso in midfield, he slices the ball out right, beautiful pass! Garcia runs down the right, gets to the byline, crosses into the six yard box, Cisse heads it towards goal!! 4-0!! That makes four for the frenchman!!
Min 79 - Again Cisse is stirring up trouble. Pellegrino lofted a 25 yards to him upfront, this time he tries from outside the box! Hit the bar and over!!
Min 84 - Dudek had to come to the rescue to keep his clean sheet intact. Sakiri found Earnshaw down the flank, Earnshaw went down the right wing, crossed into the six yard box, Dyer was free in the middle! Struck on the half volley!! Dudek turns it over his bar!!
Min 87 - Gerrard trips Chaplow and Clement steps up to take a free kick. But he puts it wide.
Min 90 - Hamann finds Gerrard out left with a 35 yard pass, the skipper takes it down beautifully and aims for the top cornor! High and wide!
