*LATEST* FA Cup Second Qualifying Replays took place with a number of OTF'ers playing as their sides had failed to win in the first tie. Matt Felstead was booked late in the second half in an otherwise good performance from him and Yeading as they defeated Waltham Forest 2-1. The scoreline suggests it was close but, infact, the one for Forest was their only shot. Red Hector played for Bishop Auckland as they hosted Guiseley after the draw in the first game. A goal-less first was followed by a dire second half, in which only a Guiseley goal was action of note. That meant that Hector and Auckland crash out of the Cup.
After a good first game, Jamie Cartwright was in goal as Newport were taken back to Stalybridge after the home side fought back from two behind in the first game. Cartwright made three great saves in the first half and more followed in the second half. Stalybridge even missed a penalty, putting it wide, but Cartwright could only look on as his strikers failed to take any chances of their own. The game was heading to extra time but Stalybridge scored in the 92nd minute to snatch the win.
Bognor Regis faced Runcorn at home in their replay, and Gavin Connolly was named as captain. He clearly had his team fired up because he created two goals in the first three minutes and then set up another later on in the first half. Runcorn pulled one back just before the break to give themselves a glimmer of hope and they got to within one early in the second half. Fortunately, Connolly wasn't the only one having a good game and Bognor added two goal to win 5-2.
Whilst all those games were going on, Chris Nicol was in action for Chelsea Reserves at home to Wolves Reserves. Nicoln played his part in both of Chelsea's first two goals as he set up Parker and Poole to give the Blues the lead. Wolves pulled one back before half-time and levelled just after but a goal fron sub Younghusband gave Chelsea the lead again. Both sides were reduced to ten men before the end but Chelsea held out for the 3-2 win. |

Real Madrid have signed promising Faroe Islands winger Jakup Osskissun. Osskisson is delighted to have agreed terms and revealed he is extremely enthusiatic about the opportunity to work with manager Vanderley Luxemburgo. He rejected offers from Getafe and Zaragoza and will link up with Taz Devil and Brendan Concan.
| *LATEST* Chris Nicol played for Chelsea Reserves as they travelled the short distance to play West Ham Reserves. Arjen Robben missed an early penalty for the visitors and they failed to pressurise the Hammers after that, going down by one goal to nil. |

*LATEST*
[i]The next round of the FA Cup Qualifying section arrived and quite a few OTF'ers found themselves involved. Bognor Regis travelled to Moor Green with captain Gavin Connolly looking to have as good a game as he had in the last round. At half-time, Bognor found themselves two down and Moor Green extended their lead in the last minute as Bognor Regis were taken down to ten men. Not a good day for Connolly and his team as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat, Connolly playing a '4' performance. (get it?) Matt Felstead saw his Yeading side drawn at home to Dorchester and he was in action as the two sides met. It was Yeading who went ahead but then Dorchester scored two to lead themselves. Felstead played a great ball that led to Yeading converting a penatly and levelling affairs and moments later Yeading were back infront before half-time. Felstead was then beaten for pace as Dorchester levelled but on the hour mark Matt Miller completed his hat-trick to again put Yeading ahead. They got their fifth with just over ten minutes left and it appeared to be over but Dorchester wouldn't lie down and pulled one back to give Yeading a nervous five minutes of added. They held out though, and Felstead could be playing against Conference sides in the next round as Yeading eventualyl triumphed 5-4.
Cirencester hosted Wingate & Finchley in their tie and Edward Simpson was selected in the starting line-up despite still not being fully fit after joining a couple of weeks ago. An own goal saw Cirencester lead at half-time and they doubled their lead on the hour mark. It was three moments later and Simpson, playing the full ninety minutes, nearly made it four hitting a post. He did manage to make it four in injury time when he hammered in a right-footed half volley. A good performance from Simpson and Cirencester saw them progress 4-0. Rammy Ram-Ram travelled with Worcester to take on Billericay and the visitors raced into a two-goal lead. Ram-Ram was carded before half-time but he didn't let it affect his performance. He saw a shot go just wide of the post as he tried to further the lead but it didn't matter as he put in a man of the match performance to help Worcester to a 2-0 win.
As with the last round, Droylsden decided against selecting both Steve McGuinness and Rich Hughes as they faced a home tie with Dartford. The away side went into an early but Droylsden managed to level things up before half-time. They then took the lead around the 60 minute mark and this turned out to be the winner as they went through, winning by two goals to one.
After a superb performance in the last round, both Richard McKeon and Burscough would be hoping for more of the same at home to Wakefield & Emley. Captain McKeon set up Burscough's opener and they added another two before the final whistle, Martindale getting a hat-trick, to progress thanks to a 3-0 win. Alex Gibson was selected for Basingstoke as they faced Bamber Bridge at home in their match. The game ended goal-less, and Bamber Bridge did well to hold out as they were reduced to ten men with fifteen minutes left. The sides now need a replay.

No one has been playing in Spain recently I'm afraid, although most have games in the First Round of the Cup. You play for Cuidad de Murcia right? In which case I think you are playing At. Madrid in round one. Hope you get picked!

*LATEST* Alex Gibson travelled to Bamber Bridge and started for Basingstoke in their 3rd Qual. Round replay in the FA Cup. Basingstoke led at half-time thanks to Gibson himself after he headed home a Whiddett corner. This looked to have won the game for the away side but an own goal from captain Bristow in the last minute sent the game into extra-time. Bamber Bridge then took a shock lead in the first half of extra-time before Bristow compunded his misery by getting sent off. Bamber Bridge added a third before the break and then a fourth in the second period to defeat Basingstoke 4-1. |
