R.E the match roundups, are they every game played by the OTF crew, or just sporadic updates?

Raith travelled to SPL side Livingston in the CIS Cup Second Round, with both Timmy Newell and Michael North in the starting line-up. Newell wasn't captain anymore, it had now been handed to a youngster on loan from Hearts. The first half was goal-less but some good through balls by North had set-up a couple of good chances for the away side. Livingston took the lead before North and Newell combined to set-up Murtagh for the equaliser. North was substituted shortly afterwards and, unfortunately for Raith, Livingston went on to win the game 2-1.

Also in CIS Cup Second Round action was Jolinho as his team, Montrose, travelled to Gretna. He was having a good game but a strong challenge just before half-time meant that he had to be subsituted during the break. In his absence, Montrose tried their best but buckled under pressure and went down by 3 goals to nil, their misery compounded by a red card late on.

[i]It was time for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round, and that meant that there were plenty of OTF'ers in action. This didn't include Pete Daniels, who failed to make the bench for Tiverton's trip to Hucknall. He won't get another chance to appear in the Cup this season as Hucknall cantered to a 3-0 win.

It did include Richard McKeon though, and he was named as captain of the Burscough side that travelled to Chorley. It was goal-less at half-time but less than give minutes into the second half McKeon rifled home a right-footed volley (the first goal then HHNF?) to give his side the lead and, ultimately, the victory. Captain McKeon also received the man of the match award for his performance.

Matt Felstead was selected at right-back for Yeading as they travelled to Waltham Forest. Yeading found themselves behind in the first minute as a mistake from Felstead led to Waltham taking the lead. They levelled pretty quickly and it was level at half-time, although Yeading were now down to ten men. Those ten men, including Felstead, did well to hold out and earn a replay.

Bishop Auckland had been drawn away at Guiseley, and Red Hector was selected as a left-back for the match. Hector, who can also play in midfield, was solid throughout and helped his side pick up a 1-1 draw and a replay, earning himself man of the match in the process.

Alex Gibson was on duty in the right wing for Basingstoke away at Bath. The visitors raced two ahead quickly but Bath got to within one before the break. Gibson was substituted in the 65th minute but, nevertheless, Basingstoke held out for a 2-1 victory.

Droylsden were in action away at Thame Utd, but neither Rich Hughes or Steve McGuinness managed to make even the game for the bench for the game. Droylsden still secured passage into the next round with a tense 1-0 win.

Involved in the centre of midfield for Worcester away at Sittingbourne was Rammy Ram-Ram and his side led at half-time. The second half brought no further goals and Worcester went through with a 1-0 win.

Jamie Cartwright was selected in goal ahead of one-time Welsh-international Roger Freestone as his Newport County side play at home to Stalybridge Celtic. Newport were two-up at the break and Cartwright had been playing well but Stalybridge pulled it back and levelled in the 89th minute so the game finished 2-2 and will go to a replay.

Bognor Regis named Gavin Connolly as captain for their game away at Runcorn. Good work between Connolly and Budd saw Connolly set up the latter for a goal before half-time but minutes after the half-time restart Runcorn netted two and went ahead. Bognor equalised and only a yellow in injury time marred a solid performance from Connolly as the game ended level, needing a replay.

Recent recruit Edward Simpson was selected on the left of midfield for Cirencester's trip to Berkhamsted. Lacking match-fitness, Simpson was substituted midway through the second half but Cirencester were already one-up. It stayed that way and they progressed to the next round.

Blyth gave their right-hand to OTF'ers away at Solihull as David Smith was chosen at right-back and Joey Moore was picked at right midfield. Solihull were one up at half-time and extended their lead early in the second half. Both Moore and Smith were removed from the game with less than 20 minutes left but Blyth still went down by two goals to nil.
