Morton suffer first defeat

Andrew McKissock has tasted his first competetive defeat today as his side was beaten 2-1 away to Berwick Rangers. 4th placed Berwick went ahead against top of the league Ton through Peter Ramage the on-loan Newcastle defender. Once again it was Richie Hart to the rescue making it 1-1 with his 9th goal for the Ton. Morton seemed tired, possibly due to 3 U-21 call ups to key players and they looked shakey at times and not up to the job of holding out and thus the inevitbale struck, Berwick scored through Gary Greenhill making it 2-1.

Berwick 2-1 Morton - Shielfield Park Att - 562

Mirren no challenge for Ton

St Mirren, Mortons biggest rivals were beaten 3-0 today by the Ton much to the delight of the Tons fans. The Ton went ahead through Andy McLarens 5th goal of the season after 13mins. He cut inside the right hand side of the box and curled one past the keeper low. Both sides squandered chances until the 44th min when Mads Timm scored a close range header and the game was killed off as Richie Hart netted his 10th of the campaign just outside the penalty box to put Morton through to the next round of the challenge cup Jim McDonald made his debut today and recieved man of the match, the 18 year old winger made 2 assists today and wowed the crowed with his performance.

Morton 3-0 St Mirren - Cappielow Att - 2517

Hislop breaks duck!!!

It was 1st vs 2nd at Cappielow and it was a mauling for 2nd place Arbroath. They were ahead though for 10mins as John Mcglashan nodded them ahead after 2mins but it was Richie Hart again who levelled with his 1st of 3. Steven Hislop was next to score, breaking his duck for the club and just before half time he netted a second. The scoring continued on 51mins as Hart scored a header from a corner and then scored a tap in from a crossfield drill by Tam Brighton.

Morton 5-1 Arbroath - Cappielow Att - 2529

Goals - Hart (3), Hislop (2)
Injuries -
MoM - Hart (10) - Morton

If ne one is annoyed that i keep winning or nethin then dont bother reading till i move up a division, Morton are generally too good for that division neway and with some of the SPL quality signings it makes it easier this year.

Raith nick draw

Morton were held at home by Raith Rovers in a 1-1 draw. Steven Hislops confidence appears to have taken another battering as he missed a few chances but never really got involved in the match. Morton took the lead through Chris Templeman in the 55th min as he scored a near post header from a Paul Walker corner. Morton appeared to be cruising until the 79th minute when Craig O'Reilly netted a flukey goal, what appeared to be a cross swerved and looped over keeper Coyle.

Morton 1-1 Raith - Cappielow Att - 4112

Goals - Templeman
Injuries -
MoM - O'Reilly (8) - Raith
