I think that we can forget about any backup being restored - too much time has passed for that to happen now. I figure that I've lost four or five stories, at least two of which were active. Maybe I'm over-reacting but this has really hacked me off. I invest a lot of time in this activity (even if the results are rubbish) and I have an expectation that the threads would be secured and recoverable to some extent. As I said in an earlier post, I can't believe that there is no forum-specific recovery available. I might re-post a acouple but at present I can't summon the enthusiasm. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.
Latest news is that restoring a backup isn't as straightforward as it should be, and that it's currently being discussed. Considering FMS' relatively small weight in the overall picture, I'm not convinced we'll see the stories return...
Looks like I may yet have to come back on "WTBCSA isn't dead" WLKRAS

Chin up Bob, I feel for you. Fortunately I wasn't working on anything long term, but if I was and lost it I think it would be the final straw. Take a step back and breathe a little
I'll check on my home PC tonight, but I'm fairly sure I never backed Ragusa up. I suspect I may have large chunks of it spread across a few text files, at best.
i have a couple of stories backed up but lost all my ones until last year when my old computer buggered up. Going to hold off posting for a bit anyway, even though it's not huge.

I have them all backed up PM but it's the principle of the thing that annoys me. That and losing the history of the thread (comments, views etc). Still, I'm sure I'll bounce back.
